Looks like Brooks from Drag Times finally got his hands on a Sapphire....

He did the solid job getting the performance numbers, kudos there In terms of is he the right influencer for Lucid, to me that is a strong no Isn't an IT guy at a kid's museum in real life? When you read the comments for his videos, a lot of it is the Tesla Plaid rules the world because it gets...

    Post/share your non-Lucid other car(s)! (ICE-appreciation thread?)

I like how this approach is a fit with the Bugatti narrative, and brings the Rimac element in to juice the customer experience As a Gen 2 NSX owner, I have seen the SF90 as dialing the elements of the NSX up to a 10 (even thought it is an 8 cylinder) Lambo dialed it up to a 12 with the Revuelto...

Fisker Ocean - This is the Worst Car I’ve Ever Reviewed ~ MKBHD

My understanding is he is a top tier reviewer, and the videos of his I have seen show solid knowledge, approach and construction. Perhaps have a broader look at his work I thought the VinFast is supposed to be the worst car out there

U-DRAG RACE: Acura NSX Type S vs. Lucid Air Grand Touring

I don't know the Philly suburbs but from what I have seen driving the 21s in the city is no Bueno

U-DRAG RACE: Acura NSX Type S vs. Lucid Air Grand Touring

I posted this goofy video on NSX Prime. I have a Gen 2 NSX (not a Type S but I haven't seen a race between the Gen 2 and Gen 2 Type S so there may not be much difference). The braking and turning is a big part of this unconventional race format. The Gen 2 NSX has incredible brakes and handles...

    Leasing during bankruptcy

I certainly did not intend to go down the FUD path. I was not afraid of buying a Lucid based on what I saw in the car coupled with the support they had (long term kind of support from KSA). The mention of Toyota stems my belief that the folks at Lucid built a car with enough innovation, etc. in...

    Leasing during bankruptcy

The lease would be assigned to a new creditor. If Lucid did really go South, as I have been saying Toyota would be the most likely one to acquire them, and fold Lucid into Lexus and then sprinkle Lucid sauce into the Toyota brand.

2022 Grand Touring Performance and 19" tires

Sorry, I only charge to 80% and really don't pay attention to range. I just use the car for errands around the city or an occasional 1-2 hour drive to and from a nature hike on a Sunday.

2022 Grand Touring Performance and 19" tires

I have a GT-P and the 21 inch pinwheels live in my basement. As has been mentioned Lucid supports running the 19 inch wheels on the car. They sold me 2 sets, one with winter tires (on the car now) and another set with all seasons that I use during the summer. The roads in Chicagoland aren't...

I got an S2000 when they first came out in 1999 and enjoyed it every time I drove it. Let it go in late 2005 when I changed jobs as it was not a great commuter in MA between the traffic and the living next to a chainsaw aspect when revving it out with the top up. The bespoke LC 500 ordering...

Any other Chicago area owners (or owners to be)?

I would guide to contact them I am not sure if they complimentary washes without a service being done I still find it screwy that I have to initiate the service dance by contacting Lucid corporate and then they have someone from Goose Island to contact me to do the scheuling For my winter...

Lucid Air model lineup updates for 2024

I thought they were sold out I went with the GT-P because I wanted my tax breaks before they vaporized At this point, I am happy enough with the GT-P and am standing pat Kudos to the Sapphire owners I also hope they revise the interiors so the Tahoe gets tan seats front and rear and black...

Lucid Air model lineup updates for 2024

There was a previous change in the website where the GT-P vanished and then it came back. The site includes the Sapphire but I thought those were all spoken for. I had my winter wheles/tires put on today using mobile service and the nice tech mentioned that 2 Sapphires had come through Goose Island.

Colder weather folks, what are you doing for wheels/tires?

I have a set of 19s with the Sotto Zero tires. Mobile service came out today to swap them over for the season. This time the tech came in an Air, plenty of room for the jack in the trunk and he had a portable air compressor to get the tires to the target pressure. He rotated them from the...

    Gravity Launch

At some point, around 7 years of ownership, it was in the shop too often for little this and that stuff, motor mounts, hatch struts that would fail repeatedly. I sold it to a nice guy in RI (we were in MA) who had a family member with access to Volvo parts, so a good destination for the car. At...
