And People Are Writing About Problems Wthe Lucid. Just look At This!

This strikes me as a bit of a hit piece or at least heavily biased. They’ve cherry picked issues teslas have had over the last 12 years to paint a less than stellar picture. It’s disingenuous given they started out discussing the 2023 Model S. My take is we shouldn’t be giving HotCars...

Warning: Eye strain, Split vision, and headache for tall drivers

This is the exact reason that I cancelled my GT-P preorder here in Canada. I narrowed it down to the steering column not coming out far enough to allow tall drivers to lower the back of the seat. I’m 6’4” and it wasn’t until a test vehicle was available in my area that I noticed the problem...

    Leaving the Lucid Community

I know that this is a tiny consolation but Lucid actually refunded my non-refundable deposit when I cancelled my Air GT-P. I locked the order without driving it and when I eventually did I was disappointed to find out that at 6’4” the steering wheel didn’t come out far enough for me to get...

    How Many Cancellations

Yup, it's really odd. I'm going to sit in the car one last time but I was really surprised getting back into the Taycan. It just felt like the seat needed to go a little lower in the car and I think this could have been addressed by extra travel in the steering wheel which would have allowed...

    How Many Cancellations

Just for reference on the way out. I cancelled my Grand Touring Performance order this week after test driving. I was meant to be taking delivery in August this year and obviously lost the $1300 CAD deposit but that's a non-event. I'm 6'4" and I just couldn't make myself comfortable enough...

    Navigation Volume

Minor clarification. Tesla Model S and X refresh do have SiriusXM. It was enabled after launch via a software update.

    Test Drive Follow Up Questions

This was the Tahoe interior and a Stellar White exterior that I noticed it on. I've checked my Tesla and Porsche and while they do have a reflection when you look the entire dashboard is dark so it's really not noticeable. This could just be a little oversight for a new car manufacturer but...

    Test Drive Follow Up Questions

Hey everyone, I’ve been hanging out on the forum since I confirmed my Grand Touring Performance order here in Canada. I actually managed to drive the car for 40 minutes out of their Yorkdale Shopping Center Lucid showroom today. I’ve got some questions/observations for the sage owners of the...

    Received my Tesla Tap

For what it’s worth I’ve been using my TeslaTap Mini 80 daily for 7 months with a Gen3 Tesla Wall Charger and a Taycan with zero issues at all. Some of the older Tesla Destination Chargers supported surprisingly high amperage. Given the Lucid does as well I can see a scenario where someone buys...

Perhaps Lucid can learn from the Rivian R1S: Great review

No it’s definitely there. … and it’s good! Beats the Model X handsomely.

Perhaps Lucid can learn from the Rivian R1S: Great review

They are telling me H12023 in Canada. Seems some people are getting their R1Ts way ahead of the pre-order holders. Sounds like they are blending their sales between new reservations and pre-order holders to not take a bath on profitability this year.

Perhaps Lucid can learn from the Rivian R1S: Great review

I totally concur, the R1T/R1S in the 4 motor configuration is worth more than the original pre-orders were offered it for. The language in the pre-order paperwork stated that price wasn’t locked in. But when they went to jack the price on the pre-order people there was a mutiny.

Am I the only one extremely disappointed in my Dream Edition?

I wouldn’t call it a scam. There’s an industry agreed test for ICE and EVs. All manufacturers are tested against the same standards. It then depends on the driver and road conditions as to how far the car actually goes in the real world. Drive faster and the car becomes less efficient, it’s...

Am I the only one extremely disappointed in my Dream Edition?

I’d say my Taycan turbo gets 350 kms / ~220 miles reliably. Edit: I should add, I may have a heavy right foot and I do run the Mission E rims which I think are the least efficient.

Perhaps Lucid can learn from the Rivian R1S: Great review

I test drove an R1T at their Venice Hub about a week ago. Obviously 40 minutes behind the wheel isn’t long to really judge but they have done an excellent job. The interface is well laid and out and logical. It’s also super snappy even though they have a lot of map to render on that big screen...

    Regrets

Same, one too many posts about software glitches. I’m ok trailblazing but I’m leaving Porsche because of the software and worry it may drive me mad in the Lucid. I may get a Plaid Model S and revisit Lucid in 12 months or so. I would have been one of the first GT-P owners in Canada.

Why did you decide for the Lucid Air vs. Model S, EQS, i7, Taycan, ...?

+1 to all of this. My wife is driving a Model 3 Performance and I’m in a fully loaded Taycan Turbo. I agree with the Taycan observations apart from the fact that I’ve had lots of components fail. Currently I have no reversing camera and no line of sight on when the part will arrive. They aren’t...

Any minds changed about getting Air due to this forum?

Exactly!! It was working fine and the only way to make the native interface usable. They also timed it with a bug (or reduction in functionality) in the My Porsche app that means you can’t search for a destination and “Send to Vehicle” This essentially drives everyone to CarPlay, I preferred...

Any minds changed about getting Air due to this forum?

They aren’t my people to be sure. Definitely mostly about the looks and being seen in the right car. The thing is most of them appear to be buying the RWD or entry level 4S just to get the Porsche badge then tell everyone about it. 😣

Any minds changed about getting Air due to this forum?

I posted why I’m trading my 2020 Taycan Turbo on the Taycan forum. https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/cross-shopping-w-lucid.10896/post-157731 Everyone there believes that the Taycan is a sports car and the Lucid is a luxury cruiser. I’d argue that the Taycan is too heavy to be a sports...
