Website for OTA Updates, Software Features Wishlist, and Bugs!

Yep. I've gone to both Lucid events they've held so far in my area and both times had a nice chat with Zak Edson. Marqie on this forum is great and super helpful. The Lucid software team has even given us a shoutout in firmware update release notes!

    2.8.0 Software Update

What do people think of Hands Free Drive Assist vs GM Supercruise? Never tried the latter so I'm curious.

    2.8.0 Software Update

Easy to find the URL to the official release notes from a computer. I don't have 2.8.0 but here is the link: What's new in this version (2.8.0)

    2.8.0 Software Update

My CCC upgrade appointment is tomorrow. If they don’t push 2.8.0 to my new unit while my car is sitting at the service center then I’d take that as evidence that 2.8.0 is available only nominally.

Steering - play and creaking from column

I think I have this as well. Intermittent, went away spontaneously after a mobile service visit, gone for at least a year, back now. Service center will look at it during the same visit as upgrading my CCC.

Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

I activate auto lane change by holding the turn signal stalk in the appropriate direction until the lane change is activated. Suspect there is a slight delay built in so it isn't activated when you aren't expecting.

Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

For me it depends on the road. In my limited experience, some roads are rock solid, others are a mess of ping-ponging.

    Lifetime vehicle efficiency

3.3 mi/kWh over ~21k miles. '23 Touring, 19" wheels. I pay no mind to efficiency when driving this 620hp car.

    Lucid partnership

The Waymo Jaguars are pretty nice. Not nearly as nice as a Gravity but still.

    Lucid partnership

What a world we live in. By the time these are rolled out, the robo part of a robotaxi will be a commodity. Waymo's product is already so good that I don't even consider Uber/Lyft with a human driver when a Waymo is available. So I guess they will be competing on the luxury experience of the...

Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

At the owner event I attended, they were indeed pretty cagey about hands free Drive Assist. I'm surprised to see it so soon based on how they answered these questions.

    2.7.1 Software Update

Audio source saving is still spotty for me after driving a bit more…haven’t (yet) noticed the navigation or charging issues.

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

The oil change comparison puts it in perspective. $950 for a low-production automotive computer, inclusive of labor at luxury brand rates, is an impressively low number to me. Note that these computers need to function in really harsh conditions that your average iPad or laptop does not, and the...

    2.7.1 Software Update

Also got this update yesterday. Perhaps also it will fix the infotainment forgetting what audio source was selected on the previous drive. For the one time I’ve driven the car since, it’s worked, but that’s only the one time…

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I value UI responsiveness. When the cameras fire up for the first time after an infotainment boot, as often as not, the music being played gets briefly distorted - sounds suspiciously like DMA buffers are not being filled in time because the infotainment is busy with the camera views - which are...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

“Increased storage” sounds particularly germane to dash cam functionality. I asked the Lucid folks whether to expect a 3.0 Air update at the KoP owners event and their response was not committal but sounded like a no to me.

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

When my service center called me to confirm my appointment, they made sure I understood that there was no functionality improvement at this time, just improved responsiveness, and that I really agreed I was to pay $950 + tax for this. Which I am happy to do. I did hear from a Lucid employee at...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

Service advisor advised me to leave the car as it’s possible an OTA would be required, and they can’t predict how long that would take to install.

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

Scheduled my appointment the moment I got the email. I was expecting it to cost more!

    OTA Update 2.7.0

Weird. Service can query the car to check on error codes. Might be worth a shot especially if you’re still under warranty.
