Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

I also had no problem with the day/night setting. In fact I turned it on Night mode only because of exactly what @Genghis said, was a little trigger happy swapping when I drove thru an underpass/etc. I think he probably didn't notice the setting at all, but it's there!

    Purchasing DESPITE the sales experience

Yep, me too. Vincent Wu is the rep that ghosted me and it took some doing to actually get assigned to someone else (they kept trying to tell me they'd send this guy a message and get him to respond and he never did). When I tried to go with a referral someone else recommended I was told they...

Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

I'm not so sure, but either way when using this setting Lucid still launches AA automatically but instead of the crooked rectangle is simply a message stating "Unlock your phone to use Android Auto". So that's the same number of button presses to get back to the Lucid screen anyway.

Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

Hmm I thought I tried that one before I asked and it didn't stop AA from displaying on the panel automatically. I assumed it was referring to the connection to the phone and not the on-screen displaying. Changing the "while locked" setting just makes it so you have to unlock the phone to...

Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

Has anyone found a setting that allows the car to connect to Android Auto when you enter, but not immediately bring it up on screen? I'd like to sit on the more aesthetic Lucid screens while AA runs in the background to handle my messaging. Just trying to avoid pressing the home button every...

    Software and Tech Opinions

We literally just went through a period of approximately six weeks where vehicles could not be put into gear because of a software update. I'm more shocked that the fanboys would continue to click on these threads to break out their defense squad scripts than I am these threads being created...

    OTA Update 2.7.0

Lol, if you would like me to revise my statement to say approximately 0.23 inches instead of a centimeter, I am happy to do so. Does it matter? They could have blackened out the screen beneath the rectangle. They could have made the slightest effort to align it with the curvature instead of...

Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

A+ tip, long press works and yes AA will ask you to reply without any additional inputs. I'm glad AA can be used to fill this gap, it was crazy the number of steps Lucid made you do to reply to a message!

Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

Can you elaborate on this? I want Android Auto for a few things, but at the top of the list is being able to reply to messages as they are received. Lucid does not let you do this, you either get unchangeable canned replies that you have to manually select on the screen or you have to go through...

    OTA Update 2.7.0

Finally got the update today... and oh my f'ing god AA is indeed entirely crooked on the panel. A good centimeter of padding below the left side of the AA rectangle that dwindles to nothing on the right side. Extremely obvious, extremely irritating. Is CarPlay the same way? Hasn't that been...

[RESOLVED BY OTA 2.7.0] Car won’t go into DRIVE !

I had it every day when plugged in, and every time I turned on the climate in the app before heading to the car. I just got the update today but it was 1/1 fixed in both scenarios.

Lucid Mobile App – UX Observations & Curious if Others Feel the Same

This was fixed in the latest Android update, they added the spinning "waking up" wheel when the car is plugged in.

    OTA Update 2.7.0

Oh no! I haven't gotten the download yet but I will legitimately lose my mind if I see that when I do. Ughhhhh

    OTA Update 2.7.0

Am I crazy or does the AA rectangle appear to be crooked in your picture? The gap on the bottom right against the flat part of the screen looks smaller than the left. Hope it's just the angle of the picture playing tricks because that is some nightmare fuel.

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

I mean in the beginning of the thread you reinforced several times that your phone kept changing it to Optimized, and just this past Friday you posted in another thread that you "uninstalled the phone app for the time being". I think it's pretty clear the app needs to be actively used in order...

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

I updated the thread pretty quickly on that one, unfortunately as you would expect it didn't make any difference. Since my last post in this thread I had given up trying to set it to unrestricted since it always goes back to optimized, but since I am replying again I tested and confirmed it...

    27GB Android Mobile App?

Very weird, mine is only 1.63GB and it's only used 37MB of data since April 15th. Didn't notice any of the other issues mentioned either.. only checked this thread because I just got 2.4.1 and thought it was about that version.

    Backup camera randomly janks itself

Ooh, yes that makes more sense. It could have been cross traffic from behind the space and across the median. I did not clock that at all at the time obviously, but seems likely and you can see where it would be coming from in the picture. Much better explanation for why it would swap to that...

    Backup camera randomly janks itself

Thanks for the info. Interesting Wide Angle lens they're using to do that to the picture lol. Is there something in the manual that says switching views was the result of it sensing something as opposed to vice versa? Why they would ever show the user that view after an incident (false alarm no...

    Backup camera randomly janks itself

Honestly don't know how else to describe this letter-U distortion besides "jank". Its very weird, check out the photos. I'm backing into a parking spot, everything is normal when all of a sudden the image "janks" and the car slams on the breaks when I'm barely halfway into the parking spot...
