I've started to notice every time it does it, the car thinks the Drivers door is open. Sometimes, it will show the animation that it's open. Other times, it won't let me lock the doors. But it always seems to come down to thinking the door is open.

One would be + and the other -, but a 'phase' switch (in / out) on the subwoofer would toggle between the two. That's my understanding, I'm not a pro!

This is a new "feature" of 2.6.16. Reddit is full of others who've had the same experiences. I too have. I just never remember to report back here.... you are not alone, however!

Here’s another perspective on that…. I’m not worried about the impact on the driving range from a subwoofer install on a car that motorizes its handles open, turns on the headlights, cranks on the HVAC, and turns on the radio every damn time I go into the garage, or walk by it in the driveway...

Oh, I was thinking you were talking acoustically. Not by any measurable means no way. Probably uses less than a seat massage session? Certainly isn’t the slightest concern for me.

Thank you much. For the speakers, I didn't use alligator clips, instead I stripped it quote long, and wrapped the copper wire around the speaker contact area. My old Bose (70's built) floor speakers were built like that. They didn't solder, they wound-wrapped them. So I thought that was good...

No shit! That’s cool. I’ve been wanting to get into HA but I’ve been content with my Hubitat etc as is… that seems quite powerful. But also a bit involved for what I want to do here, which is just use parking lights (corner indicators) as I can on I’m pretty sure every single other car manufactured.

I wouldn’t leave them on overnight for sure, but to park a car in an underlit area for 5 minutes or two hours for dinner is very practical.

The issue I have is that they don’t stay on with the car locked and off.
