    Recommending the Lucid Air Touring

While more space is nice, it is not something that I would choose a car for. And I have no idea why people dislike the fob so much, I think the Air fob is awesome.

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

While I don't think the new CEO is a good fit for the company I also recognize that he might have been the best choice from a very limited pool. I doubt that there was a line of talented executives wanting the job.

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

But didn't win a Nobel Prize for that research. It was more of the same.

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

But he invented the lithium-ion battery when he was in his thirties, not in his 90s. And his Nobel Prize wasn't given for what he did in his 90s, but in his 30s.

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

The fundamental change is that other companies are catching up and the midsize will be just one of the many entrants in a market with many offerings. With the new funding they might have the MONEY, but not necessarily the time for their story to play out.

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

If I was an investor, I would worry about the choice of the new CEO. I am not, and I am pretty sure I'll survive the remaining two years of my lease. I don't think it is likely Lucid will be viable then, but I'll reconsider again.

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

Sure. And we can also go to Mars and the Moon that the same time too. But somehow, it is better to learn how to walk before you try to run. But sure, they can go for it. It's going to be fun watching. Frankly, I am surprised they didn't try to do a sedan, a SUV and a midsize at the same time...

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

So, it's much better to have service issues in both US and EU?

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

Lucid needs international expansion? They can't handle their customers in the US. Lucid needs to get their s together, not international expansion.

I’d say layoffs to the service department are starting to have an effect…

This is why I am afraid of even trying to schedule my annual check-up. I definitely don't want to drive 2 hours to a service center and back and spend two weeks with a loaner.

Disappointed? Rate your satisfaction 1-10 scale

As a glass-half-empty kind of guy, 9/10 and 10/10 are out of question. There are too many annoyances that each of its own are fine, but all together are too much. 7.5/10 I just hope my glowing score doesn't jinx it, fingers crossed, knock on wood, etc...

Wife got an R1S. Software envy increased

It is very interesting that your five relatives are most of the people that won Tesla. Are there like 6 total?

Wife got an R1S. Software envy increased

FWIW, I used it on my Tesla and I care.

Wife got an R1S. Software envy increased

You can, but it seems that Lucid chose not to.

Wife got an R1S. Software envy increased

Eventually we'll all die. Your point?

Wife got an R1S. Software envy increased

So, the moral of the story is that if you buy a midsize, you'll be left rotting too, eventually. Not a good story.

This might shed light on why automakers don’t go “all in” with CarPlay / Android Auto

You want to create a better car and keep me as a customer? Give me what I want: CarPlay and/or Android Auto.

    Air Version 2.8.30

Lucid’s market cap is about 3B. Ford’s market cap is abour 47B. Ford sold 146 times more vehicles than Lucid. Do you think Lucid can do what traditional car companies do and not provide new features?

Invitation to Lucid Feature Pilot Program

Got an email to fill a survey. If that's a beta program for interested customers, it's a step in the right direction.

Air + DreamDrive Pro: Were We Left Behind?

Software subscription model sounds good (for the company) in theory, but I haven't seen it work in practice. So, overall, putting all your eggs in a fantasy.
