    Gravity Delivery Discussion

By opening and closing the frunk 5 times, what am I looking for? I assume just that it opens and closes on the first try each time? I know some people have a double press issue. If it passes, can I assume my latch is ok or do I need to worry about it even afterwards? Are people really getting...

So do you delete the original profile after creating a new one? This is an interesting workaround....

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I'm sure this has been covered already, but is there anything I should be doing in preparation for my pickup tomorrow? I will have checklists, but.... download Lucid app? (actually I've done this but I understand there's nothing I can do to connect it until I'm on-site) Instructions I should...

What was the first Lucid you saw in person?

I saw a white Air several years ago in a strip center parking lot and I was like "Oh, wow, my first Lucid!" I remember peeking in the windows and wondering what it was like. At the time I was aware of the brand (having been a Tesla owner since 2017) but not much beyond that. Unfortunately...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I’ve now sent a not insignificant wire to Lucid. My vehicle is in PDI now, and although my SA seems to be optimistic, I’m concerned something might come up. My delivery of scheduled for Friday and I’ve made the mistake of taking time off and taking other people I’m expecting it Friday. We’ll see...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Catching you up here quickly: I agree that $75 seems to have been the standard at order placement time as of some months ago when I and I think you placed our orders. However, my recent proformas in the days leading up til now increased that fee to $800, which was why I was frustrated. I had...

    Issues With New Car

It's got to be extremely difficult to build a national sales and service organization from scratch selling new products that are coming together pretty much in real time. So I empathize with the challenge that Lucid has. Ultimately, though, it's a problem that so many of their processes and/or...

    LUCID Gravity Lease vs Finance

Now that I have just signed all my paperwork with official values now set in stone, here is my final update on leasing numbers. Perhaps they will help someone else. My GDE had a residual of $66,655.90 on a 36 month/15K mile lease. That doesn't work out to a round %age on any of the numbers I...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

OK, final update. I just signed my final paperwork, and will hopefully pick up my car Friday, pending it passing PDI ok. Fingers crossed. After all the back and forth, my final paperwork had a $75 documentation fee. Seems like maybe various systems and processes are very disconnected. It...

Not true. Mine is a DE ordered months ago. I have an $800 docs fee.

Verrrry interesting. Mine has a line item right under Destination Fee with the docs fee.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

The inconsistency in when you can see software updates in the portal is very odd. My order is officially "In Production," it's at the delivery center, I have an appointment to pick it up Friday, it's been past factory gate for probably 2 weeks now, and..... I only have the "An Unexpected Error...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Correct. I would also swear you could have seen it in your "Designs and Orders" under something like "View Order Confirmation" because I had been using that to reference my my docs fee, within the past 24 hours, but it appears to have disappeared. Am I dreaming this? Is it possible they're...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Just scheduled my GDE delivery for Friday afternoon. FYI for others waiting: I received notice that my car was built and awaiting transit on October 8 (13 days ago), then "on its way" to Tysons on Oct. 13th (8 days ago). I was told today that it was "on site and ready to schedule delivery."...

    Gravity Vehicles Available Online

the "story" people on here have been supposing (far, far too credulously IMO) is that there is some game of parts availability whack-a-mole at the factory going on where they are, say, out of mid-size wheels or DDPro hardware when the HUD shipment comes in so they build whatever they can with...

    Gravity Dream range test.

Is your whole commute a high-speed steep onramp? Color me skeptical that a couple of on ramps are worth a quarter of a mile per kWh. Now, there are probably plenty of other variables at play, but onramps? Are they uphill both ways?

Hot laps in my 2025 Air GT at Laguna Seca

Really interesting write-up. Thank you for sharing. I know next to nothing about real performance driving and have only been on a track twice and never at anything close to a limit. Your comments on weight are interesting; EV mass was on my mind last week; I was driving a (ICE) rental on the...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

@marqie posted in a separate thread that Lucid is having system-wide customer service and service phone issues that would explain why you can't get through to anyone today. It may well be AWS, as I note that I couldn't get a hold of my doctor today, have had a really tough time on a few airline...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

I personally would prefer Lucid prioritize getting more good cars on the road over advertising. Eventually, building more recognition will be necessary, but I'd rather a company with limited resources a) get cars on the road to build brand awareness b) making sure those cars work amazingly well...
