    No response from Customer service

Just had that discussion w/ service yesterday as I near year 4, got the same answer as I got at about year 1: - mileage is more important than time - except that you also want to get the brake fluid done every couple of years

    Drive Modes specifics

I suspect that is the sounds of preconditioning the battery, as it runs warmer in prep for large draws in sprint mode.

Simple Software updates - Hoping Lucid sees this!

    Challenges with Charging

Personally, I'm surprised that there isn't a single adaptor that meets both needs in one unit... the consumer need seems clear, the technical barrier seems less clear...

    Pressing the door handle issue

There is even a setting for the car to enable this(for all 4 door handles) as the default mode to use to wake the car for usage with the mobile key and fob...

Anyone in VA know a good leather repair shop?

I used them for body work, very pleased with their work, but not sure they do anything like this (but perhaps could make a recommendation).

    Air Version 2.9.0

The power source for the vehicle has nothing to do with the topic any more than how the update package is delivered has to do with the update process or contents. I made a simple observation about that process...

TCU not being covered under warranty

CCCv2 + a 2yr service costs would come to the $1600 ballpark... not clear to me how the TCU factors into the story (other than being told to replace it, which sounds like a miscommunication).

    Air Version 2.9.0

As I pointed out, OTA is just how the update package is delivered... no conceptual difference from other methods of delivery (such as a wired network or magnetic tape or a deck of cards)... the problems (and solutions) are not new, but do need consideration and effort during the design phase...

    Air Version 2.9.0

It is the same problem, understood and solved years ago. No, it was not an oversimplification... automated update application is not new, we did it in the 70s (and earlier).

    Air Version 2.9.0

Nor is it hard for many(most)... our phones have been doing this (reliably, OTA) for 20 some years, computer systems have been doing this for (much) longer (the update gets delivered either OTA/over a network, or via some other process, then you press a button (run a job, etc) to apply the...

Anyone ever been to a drive-in movie with their AIr?

Another UX need... shouldn't be hard, and useful for all sorts of "drive-ins" (movies, sky watching, etc)... also wish I could drive at least 5mph w/ the lights out (xmas light shows, etc)...

    Air Version 2.9.0

The software update process should include steps that eliminate the need for the customer to do either (by doing them itself)... so sad that after so many years that update process still has these problems.

    How is it possible

I am struck that the Lucid system is basically a grid computing system, requiring an understanding of grid systems and for stability the need for resource locking understanding... layering upon that a UX to make the right data available via a collection of graphics (some visible all the time...

Tracking Down the Mystery of Air/Gravity Locking/Unlocking

My last handle replacement service visit included service installing a new handle only to have it too failing (out of the box). They caught this before returning the car, and ordered & installed a 2nd new one (which worked)...

Tracking Down the Mystery of Air/Gravity Locking/Unlocking

I know no way to check yourself, service determined this for me... for me the symptoms included that pressing the handles in would only sometimes wake the car (this is not about opening the car, it first must be woken(and thus powered) up, I'd see when this occurred by a light briefly coming on...

Tracking Down the Mystery of Air/Gravity Locking/Unlocking

I have a working mobile key... it took some effort to get there, but it now works 99.9+% of the time: - configure car to have passive unlock off (I press the door handle to wake the car, I don't want it waking just because I walked by) - replaced all 4 door handles (some twice, one thrice) over...

    Air Version 2.8.30

And the Air (as well as I believe the Gravity) does not apply updates or reboot while driving... it will download the new files both while driving and while idle ("asleep"), but the act of actually "installing" those updated files (replacing the ones used with the new ones recently downloaded)...

    Super Secret Menu... Shhhhhhh

Yes, there is... the car is a multi-node distributed network with 90-ish(hand wave) nodes (sensors (cameras, etc), computational units, switches (door handles, etc))... the menu item you are asking about is located in a computational unit that service adds to the network by plugging their laptop...

Introducing Lucid Tracker — A New Community Tool

Indeed, GasBuddy like info on local prices (not just L3(in all its flavors), but also L1 & L2(in all of its flavors)) sure would be nice... I've always thought that GasBuddy should have an ElectronBuddy counterpart and was surprised that PlugShare didn't provide something like that... but then...
