DIY Fix for no LTE/WiFi connectivity bug

This happened to me today after 1 year of ownership. Service said to toggle to personal cellphone Hotspot but that didn't work. Performed this method and it worked, thanks. Rear lower cushion removal was unnecessary. Access to the wire harness was tiny. Seems to have happened right after I...

USB Media connection no longer working after media-computer upgrade

Yes, somewhat. On occasion, the USB connection works with the Bluetooth off, about 1 in every 3 "trips" which is interestingly consistent with how often audio itself is muted upon startup of a "trip". Recent software upgrades have changed the unreliability of it, making it "more likely" to not...

    One Year Ownership Review

With the 21" I was getting with my Dream Performance 2.89 to 3.12 m/kWh. It did better on highway than city. With the 19" I'm currently getting 3.86 m/kWh combined highway/city (mostly city). My driving "style" has not changed. The weight of the 19" rims is lighter, so un-sprung weight makes a...

    One Year Ownership Review

Totally agree. I think CyberTruck might have been a better seller if it was a bit smaller in size but it feels like a "fun" engineering experiment. As for the Model S Plaid, I took one out, but it felt a bit numb and disconnected to my liking; it was soft and porpoise'd the road. I wasn't a...

    One Year Ownership Review

Fair enough. I'm presented with new information and so I change my opinion. Thank you for the enlightenment.

    One Year Ownership Review

Have you used Tesla software lately? I went to a physical Tesla "dealership" (all employees were doom-scrolling) and asked if all the hundreds of cars on the lot were for sale, of which only 5 were as demos, the rest were bricked due to software. Hundreds. I've known Tesla owners who lament...

    One Year Ownership Review

So, I've owned my 2022 Dream Edition Performance Air and have some opinions overall and some notable observations now that the "honeymoon" is over as they say. Several software updates have changed my opinion over the last year as well. Software updates that solved issues or improved driving...

    [RESOLVED] LEAVE-REGEN-ALONE

I think Lucid could address some of the actual updates instead of "Robustness". Are they ashamed of the fixes? Does Lucid think the user will not understand the tech jargon? The lack of transparency is concerning.. a bit.

SOLD 2023 Air Touring for sale

Rather personal question, but what did they give you for the trade-in and what did you buy in its place? Just curious.

    Surge Protector Needed?

That's what your electrical house fuse box is, a surge-protector. It's what the fuses are for. You can install a whole-house conditioner to maintain smooth delivery, but it's unnecessary. The Lucid charger has a built-in protector, and the car does as well. Overkill.

    OTA 2.8.16

Use the FOB and a lot of your problems will go away. "All of your wildest dreams will come true." - Pedro Leather BRUT makes a high-quality leather holder that I strongly recommend.

    OTA 2.8.16

Make sure your FOB battery is replaced every 6 months and remove your Mobile-Key phone-Bluetooth "feature".

    OTA 2.8.16

It was probably a lack of "robustness".

    OTA 2.8.16

I've given-up on the Mobile Key feature because it has to be re-paired after every update. The valet-card is my backup now; the FOB is primary.

    OTA 2.8.16

Same, but then again I had left mine plugged-in to the charger overnight, so the soft-reboot to-get-audio is normal for me. You must have received that "feature" as well. I find it adds "robustness" of having to soft-reboot every morning. Any more "robustness" and "Brandi" will slap me in the...

    Pirelli lm1 vs lm2

When ChemChina took over Pirelli it hasn't been the same. I found the 19" rims, though not as "cool looking" actually provide a better ride and longer range than the 21" rims. For winter, I recommend Bridgestone Blizzak and for summer I recommend Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6.

Bluetooth stays connected after leaving the car

I found the best way to solve this is to just to not use the "Mobile Key" feature.

Auto Heated Seats & Steering Wheel?

I found all the luxury features of my Cadillac CT6 Platinum were superior in every way, to include the audio system, seats, massage, etc. I do, though, being at altitude, love the car's handling and acceleration, which is far superior in every way to every other car I've owned. So... luxury is...
