Improved fast charging since 2.8.0 update

That would be great. The top end of the charging curve can be painful. That said, I was generally getting from 10 or 15 to 80 in about 30 minutes before 2.8, so it may also be that EA did something at the stations you charge at?

It's Always Darkest Before the Light...

Yes. That said, I have been very impressed with the progress they have made this year. With each update I have gotten more features and a more stable experience (except for that one in May!). They have a bit further to go, but really the basic functions are pretty good and approaching...

It's Always Darkest Before the Light...

As a former newspaper editor (yes, really, PAPER), and then an organizational communications guy, I'll add my two cents. The basic thing I don't understand about Lucid is that they tend to overpromise and underdeliver. I mean, that's rat poison for a business or organization. I know there is...

It's Always Darkest Before the Light...

The slow Gravity launch is a shame - they have a great product in the Gravity it seems - if they can just reliably build and deliver them. The software has improved a ton even since I got my car not quite a year ago. Peter probably had to move on - he was the visionary, but his vision was...

The Changing EV Climate in the U.S.

Also we need to take into account that the average American car has been on the road 12 years. Most people buy used cars - the vast majority of those used cars are ICE. Those will particularly be true for the bottom end of the market for years and years - even if/when we get to a majority of...

    Confusion with Tesla charging

I suspect I am missing something here. I have the same situation. I plug into a Tesla charger, it says I need to authenticate in the app, but I can’t figure out where to do that. Those that have, where exactly are you seeing the place to choose the stall number pop up?

    Awesome Sapphire Content

This is super fun. I will say the absolute effortlessness of the Air (in my much lesser Pure trim) is part of the joy of these things.

Offline since 7-10 days ago and we are going crazy

It's back online today - letting it go into deep sleep did the trick.

Offline since 7-10 days ago and we are going crazy

So, as of this afternoon, I am having a similar problem. Lucid support suggested that I give it some time to get into it's deeper sleep mode before scheduling a service appointment - on the possibility that it get's itself sorted out. But I am curious. What ended up being the solution for you?

2,816.1 Miles on a Dare (AKA from the East Coast to the Upper Midwest and Back)

Last winter when I started seriously looking at EVs, my entire friend group tried to talk me out of it. "Get a hybrid!" "You'll get stranded on the freeway in a snowstorm!" "Charging is a disaster!" You all know the drill. It only got worse when I told them I planned to get a low volume car...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Personally, I am just glad there are starting to be enough Gravities (Gravitys?) out there so we can start to hear about what's working an what isn't. It's been a painfully slow launch. How am I supposed to pick up an off-lease Gravity in three years after my Air is done if you all don't take...

    Tesla Supercharger Updates?

Darn, I was hoping I'd have it for this summer road tripping, but that said, it was always going to be a back-up option until Tesla rolls out superchargers that can deliver more than 50kwh, or whatever the reduced speed is.

    Real world 5.27 miles /kWh

This was a drive "in traffic" with a bit of 50's - 60's but no descent or ascent to speak of. Temps were probably about ideal (70s). But it was still fun to see. My long-distance freeway (low 70's) average is around 4.2. Shorter trips around town cumulatively get me about 3.5.

Huh, they work fine for me. Or, maybe better put, about as well as they work in other vehicles…

    Charging notifications incessant

You can turn that off in the app. I agree, it’s pretty silly that it works the way it does. It would be nice if they gated it so that it doesn’t report anything g less than a kilowatt to clean that up.

[RESOLVED BY OTA 2.7.0] Car won’t go into DRIVE !

I just talked with customer care about this (which is what my service center suggested I do). The official word is that a fix is "in testing." That said, there isn't a timeline for a release and Lucid itself (according to my agent) doesn't know why this is happening or what the common...

[RESOLVED BY OTA 2.7.0] Car won’t go into DRIVE !

Man, that would be frustrating. My car is also DD Premium, not pro. I continue to look for a rhyme or reason, but can't really find any. This is what I am experiencing. 1. It happens about half to a third of the time I get in my car 2. The length of the software hang-up varies from just a...
