Can anyone compare DDPremium vs. Tesla Autopilot (not FSD)?

Sorry, you have Dream Drive Pro or Premium? Or are those labels not applicable to the Air? So you turn on your indicator and it releases control of the steering wheel? You complete the lane changes manually and when you turn off your indicator lane keep re-engages? That seems like an elegant...

Can anyone compare DDPremium vs. Tesla Autopilot (not FSD)?

In speaking to my SA today, he informed me that DDPremium and DDPro have different hardware installed, so you can’t “upgrade” your care from Premium to Pro down the line as the Premium version doesn’t include LIDAR. Having closely watched the development of Tesla FSD, I’m not really concerned...

Gravity test drive impressions, Millbrae CA showroom

Right. And remember that Supercharging was supposed to be the “instantaneous” power compared to Turbos. I had a 280ZX Turbo that you would floor it and then listen several seconds for the Turbo to spool before you really started moving. Made for some interesting driving in the rain.

Gravity test drive impressions, Millbrae CA showroom

EVs in general seem to do well in the snow because the throttle response is so linear. After driving EVs almost exclusively for over a decade I’m always surprised when I get back into an ICE car how much I have to pre-compensate for throttle response. I have to press the throttle 3 seconds...

MKBHD's review of the Lucid Gravity

In general he always try to be “balanced” in everything he reviews. In fact, my daughter doesn’t like watching him despite being a fan of tech, because she feels like he’s always looking for something to complain about even if the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, which is true. For...

Gravity Service Appointments and Time In Service

My Model X had them replaced as well. I guess they didn’t wear well if you kept the car in the lowest suspensions setting.

    Tailosive EV Sees the Light

What’s funny is that he works for another EV brand. Telo.

MKBHD's review of the Lucid Gravity

To be fair he’s a good tech reviewer. He’s the most watched technology guy on the platform. I’m not sure why he started “reviewing” cars other than he probably likes them and he’s now rich enough to have nice ones. He’s also likely trying to expand his channel’s viewership.

Gravity Service Appointments and Time In Service

Early Model S cars and rear halfshaft problems very commonly. I had it on my 2014 S85. I still hear some old Model Ss around town with that weird whining noise coming from the back of their car.

Also, Marques is pretty tall. He usually mentions it but I think it warranted a mention that he's 6'3" and he had the driver's seat and the middle seat set for himself. So to be able to seat three people 6'3" in the same column is pretty remarkable.

I actually saw it first on my test drive but it was overcast. I’ll end up keeping it because I’ve grown to like light interiors and I hate tan/beige. I’ll just have to get used to it. Tesla does call their Ultrawhite, which I guess it is.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I’ve had White interiors on two of our Teslas. Oddly enough the Yosemite of Lucid is not “white enough” for me and my family. I, and they, all through it looked a little dingy when we first saw it because or the slight blue tinting of it. I like it because it stays cooler than darker colors so...

Seems like this should be easy to find online

But does the Gravity have a native Apple Music app in the infotainment? I only find articles written a while ago that Lucids were supposed to get it "soon." Apple Music is my preferred streaming service. I realize it does Carplay but I'd really like to have a native app as well.

    Gravity PPF & Ceramic Coating

What you're looking for is called a Quick Detail spray. If you go for a Rinseless wash solution like Optimum No Rinse, you can dilute the solution to QD level and put it in your own spray bottle. But if you're looking for an off the shelf product, you're looking for Quick Detailer and some...

Sure. But they were definitely glitchy. I had an X from the first 6 months of production and I liked it overall. But the FWDs were pretty finicky over the life of my ownership. But you're right they did get it done.

Oh true. I forgot about those. Those do dim a lot. The one in the Rivian roof seems to just go translucent no?

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

He’s a pretty clever tech guy. He has his own channel called Two Bit DaVinci that covers smart home and renewable energy subjects. I like him. He’s an easy watch and doesn’t “Over-YouTube” it.

    Gravity test drive

I’m curious as to how well that whole thing works in practice. Those e-tint windows don’t really block a lot of light, they seem to just diffuse it. I don’t think it would help much with glare, in fact I think it would make it have more glare. Does it really cool things down that much?

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I’m in the East Bay and can reach Truckee on a 100% charge from my home in my Model Y. If you can’t reach Tahoe in a Gravity I’d be very surprised.
