Assetto Corsa Gameplay of Lucid Sapphire is awesome!

Buttonwillow! Agree on the curbing sounds, not so great.

Why Donut labs solid state battery could be real

Skepticism is good, being cynical is not. Not calling anyone out, just the distinction.

    Engineering Explained - Lucid Responded

YT reviews are fine, but they are only a slice of the decision tree when I'm digging in on a car. Brand forums are probably more important to my pre-qualifying process, but a studio visit and test drive is where most of my process happens. For YT upstarts, unfavorable reviews make it harder to...

    Gravity stinks

I wouldn't bother doing anything inside the car, that isn't the origin of the funk. You need to clean the skunk juice from the inner fenders or wherever it is on the outside of the car. It might even be a "wheels off" sort of thing to really get in there.

    Engineering Explained - Lucid Responded

I think the video perfectly sums up many of our experiences and opinions about the Air; fantastic car that we want to love and recommend, but its not quite there yet. The best part is Lucid themselves acknowledge and validate these concerns which is just so very sweet to hear in the context of...

    I just canceled my order

I'm sure glad I'm not a so called "luxury buyer", or at least I'm thankful I don't have the overwhelming sense of entitlement that seems to accompany said buyers. I make durable goods purchases because the product is the best for my needs. I would have missed out on some great vehicles if I...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

No one is asking for perfect, but pleasant experiences don't mitigate the issues 100's of people (I'm feeling quite charitable here) have and are experiencing. I wish there were no (widespread) issues whatsoever, but there are and thankfully we're past the point of marginalizing the concerns.

    Esquire Car of the Year

Articles like this might seem like good news for Lucid fans but all it does is draw more people into the pool of post-purchase frustration. The more bad software press the better because these adorable "robustness" updates have now become clear and irritating evidence of the how unserious...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

I think this post really sums up how we got here and is validated by the fact that efficiency, driving dynamics, NVH, and all related hardware executions are nearly universally praised. Software? Not so much.

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

It's been bad, this isn't news. There have been people around here (me included) that have been saying similar things for a couple of years but it's usually greeted with "don't know what you're talking about, mine is flawless and Lucid is the best car I've ever owned". Lucid hasn't taken the...

Lawsuit blames Tesla design flaws for crash that killed WA woman, injured her husband

Unintended acceleration is interesting. I assume its a floor mat issue/operator error and not software? I found the interior manual release in our 3 to be very intuitive, similar to the Lucid. But, it is an odd design detail to have the e-door actuators disable in an accident when people are...

When the battery is charged to 100%, why doesn't miles remaining give the full EPA range?

I have to think ambient temperature, HVAC settings, and related has some effect on calculation of estimated range (which is all the number is).

    well this was embarrassing

Some of you are in for a rough ride if your mortified and your spouse is pissed over Lucid software issues. As my kids, its not that deep, take it easy.

Hot laps in my 2025 Air GT at Laguna Seca

I guess you don't have much experience in sports cars, which was my point. It's way too heavy to even be considered a true sports sedan, in my opinion. What it is in my mind is sublime grand touring car, but we can agree to disagree. By the way, maybe my opinion would change if I was...

Hot laps in my 2025 Air GT at Laguna Seca

If you never drove an Air, you would think it IS a Miata based on how much praise it gets around here for being a sports car. The OP validates my thoughts of the Air as a sports car...it isn't. I really enjoy time behind the wheel as a touring car that eats miles with ease. It's fun in the...

Lease return excess wear & tear

This is now a runaway train, Lucid is going to feel the long-term pain on this. It reminds me of the Hertz AI rental car return inspection bills that people are getting. I'm 20 months from my lease return and hoping things are sorted by then, but what is the next surprise tax waiting down the...

Solution to avoid water getting in the trunk after car wash or rain

Cordless leaf blower is an under appreciated drying tool. After I wash, I open the trunk as others have stated, but also use the blower to knock most of the water off the car, wheels/tires, and various places water collects. I know they make car blowers, but like Alton Brown, I don't like...

    Doug DeMuro's Lucid Gravity Review

It was a fair review I think, I mean, he get's to have an opinion and overall I think he liked it. Active listening means filtering with some basic critical thinking so that you can decide if his observations and opinions are highlighting things that matter to you. The gimmicky "Doug Score" is...

New Lucid owner, let me tell you about my Tesla bugs!

When did I debate or invalidate their "lived experience", I simply said the described experience is different than the vast majority of Tesla owners. All cars have issues, but on a per capita basis, Lucid suffers FAR more incidences of quirks we hear so much about here and I even offered a...

New Lucid owner, let me tell you about my Tesla bugs!

Hyperbolic? I don’t think so bud. I honestly think your Tesla experience was an outlier. Most of us came from Tesla and to be honest its was pretty mundane existence…everything worked like it should. My hypothesis is the factor with the greatest influence on the UX experience is solo driver...
