    SoCal recommendation for PurLuxe tears?

After not quite three years and 26k miles, I recently noticed three small tears in the driver's seat perforated PurLuxe. Two toward the front left of the seat cushion, and one (oddly) way up near the headrest. When Lucid does a warranty replacement, do they only replace the torn seat(s)? With...

    UX 3.0 Update

I'm VERY excited to be using my 36,000 referral points to order more Lucid shirts while being asked to shell out $950 for something that was promised to be added to the Referral Store. Makes me feel lower than whale poop. Lower even than the slime that it rests on.

Lucid API Battery Health % - Has this been determined to be reasonably accurate?

Just ran the Lucid API... While my Battery Capacity kWh (84.68) seems low, the Battery Health reading on my 2023 Air Pure AWD is 96% after 34 months on the road and 26.1k miles. It's been subject to a very high percentage of DC fast-charging, but on the other hand, moving seasonally between PHX...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

Shouldn't the revenue from the yet-to-be-developed features never be booked in the first place? My overarching point is that rules must somehow be broken if the bottom line includes $$$ for something that is never delivered. Worse yet if it is no longer intended to be delivered.

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

I really didn't mean that some of my $9k specifically should be set aside, or even some of DDP charges in the aggregate. I just meant that if people pay extra for a specific upcoming fearure, a responsible company would not just abandon the effort and spend the money needed for completion on...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

...but thinking about it, wouldn't proper accounting require at least some of the $9k I paid for DDPro to be sitting somewhere in Lucid's coffers until they make further progress toward completion of the feature set I paid for?

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

That's why I have never even tried to use it! I'm not about to squeeze my nice car between two other cars in the typically tight US parking spaces, where door dings are practically assured, so I end up parking in the south forty anyway.

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

I could tolerate the current level of hands-on / eyes-on Highway Assist if the hands-on part was based on galvanic skin response. With it being torque based, I cannot help but torque the wheel in the direction I want to go, so it ends up just about indistinguishable from driving the car myself...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

Sorry for the delayed reply... My $10,000 figure was incorrect, as it turns out that we *only* paid $9,000 for DreamDrive Pro. As for what was expected, you might want to listen around the 4:20 point of the DreamDrive Pro release, where hands-off / eyes-off driving is clearly promised. Other...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

The sad fact is that Lucid telegraphs little intent to ever deliver early Air owners anything even close to what we paid $10,000 for. A little less of a miss for those who paid only $6,500. Now, having noted this, a bunch of revisionists with other vested interests will protest that Lucid...

    My Service Experience with Lucid

I completed my annual Lucid survey last week. Note that I have had around fifteen successful referrals since I bought my vehicle in 2023, and I have consistently rated Lucid highly in the past. This time, when the very first question asked if I would recommend that someone gets a Lucid, my...

Gravity as home battery backup TWICE now..

While waiting for V2H, it sure would be nice if Air owners could get a 'power strip' adapter which could be plugged into the charging port, tapped into the main battery, and used to power several critical appliances during a power outage. Given that no third party has made this available, my...

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

But how has that approach been working out for them so far, and how do I reconcile it with what the new CEO is saying?

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

I am both an owner and a fairly significant shareholder. The problem is that the value received for the last dollar also affects someone shelling out the next dollar. For example... I want to eventually buy either a Gravity or a Cosmos, but I won't if my Air experience suggests otherwise.

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

You and I have traveled this road before. Near as I can figure, it's a circular route with no off-ramp, so I'll just say that I'm happy you're happy. :-)

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

I have no problem waiting a while longer for those features and fixes that were promised when I purchased my 2023 Air. I'm even (reluctantly) okay with Lucid's inability to reach the high level of DDP autonomy that was originally promised. However, even when looking at it from my shareholder's...

Taking Care of the Battery - Suggestions from Battery Engineer from Lucid

Yikes, @californiaboy935! 69 MPH in a 25 MPH zone? No wonder you managed to add miles so quickly!

A good way to check battery health?

I think the once a week 20% to 80% would be a tiny bit better, but both are great ways to go. As for being at a bit lower 93%, my guess is that checking your VIN placard would show that several months transpired between the manufacturing date and your purchase date.

A good way to check battery health?

Your math looks good, but I do see other counterpoints that suggest an odd set of calculations in the API. For example, the EV Database publication for the Pure/Touring AWD says that the battery has a nominal capacity of 94 kWh and a useable capacity of 92 kWh. Also, the 2023 Lucid Air Pure...
