The adaptive beam headlights are not active below 25mph. Since you are parked you are looking at the regular projection lighting. The dark spots are indeed to cut glare for oncoming cars. It is definitely not a defect in the adaptive beam lights.

Lucid is not voiding warranties for not doing software updates. The only thing Lucid has done is charge to perform the updates in a very few number of cases when the last update are too far out of date. The rest of the warranty has not been affected in anyway.

You are correct, in the NACS connector, the DC and AC pins are shared. In the CCS connector the DC and AC pins are separate. The J1772 connector is for AC charging only and only has AC pins, it does not have DC pins.

I take mine off road all of the time; forest service roads, trailhead access, etc. Nothing hardcore but definitely areas where good ground clearance is required. I am willing to bet that I am not the only one here that uses their Gravity this way.
