it's not a delay, it simply ignores the click (as described), typically when pulling into the driveway. If I'm parked in the garage about to back out, I deliberately use a longer dead-center click since I'm not operating the vehicle at the time.

I don't recall the specifics, but I recall reading at least once instance of someone who ended up shorting out some of the electronics during their tint installation as well.

I'm sure that'd be nice, but as someone who has spent quite a bit of time using Drive Asst on recent long trips, I'd say this IS pretty awesome. If you're not actively driving (ie, you are using Drive Assist), it's frustrating to have to keep hands on wheel.
