Gravity efficiency is low for me

...simple, as lower voltage (lower regen) is less efficient on certain parts of the deceleration curve, its very minor, but it seems there is more heat generated in the invertor. Apparently the most effective is ramping smoothly to full regen, and then ramping down smoothly to a stop...

Gravity efficiency is low for me

From what I can discern, 1PD (HOLD) uses friction brakes for that last few MPH, just like we do manually in 2PD (CREEP). Maybe it gets the timing a little more perfect than we do in CREEP but for the most part it's the same thing. As far as HIGH regen vs STANDARD, I assume that only changes the...

Gravity efficiency is low for me

Same for me, but I am pretty sure Lucid stops to 0 without friction brakes, there is a service brake for HOLD that keeps it from moving on hills once you hit zero. I don't use creep so I don't know how it stops without a foot on the brake pedal... Standard just targets a lower deceleration...

    QUESTION Prospective buyer questions

Good answers here but wanted to add a SoCal perspective and touch on a few of these. I'm in San Diego and we ended up getting the shades. The Gravity gets a lot of solar gain sitting when out and about and having them helps reduce how much AC you need to run to cool the car (and the cooled...

Gravity efficiency is low for me

...and coasting slow with the brake. It conserves momentum. And if it's a longer light and you do need to actually stop Hold keeps the car from rolling if your momentum ceases so the friction brake just isn't needed; therefore, less wasted energy to heat escaping them. What am I missing here??

    QUESTION Prospective buyer questions

...where if the seat is in this EXACT position, it squeaks. No other issues otherwise. 5. I live in Alabama and the roof isn’t bad in the extreme heat but it can get hot. 6. The sunshades help quite nicely with the heat that isnt handled by the roof tint. 7 I have ceramic tint on windows and...

    QUESTION Prospective buyer questions

...the (extremely good) Lucid sunshades in during the really hot months. They’re perforated, so you still get light and a bit of view, but far less heat. Some people also tint their windshields for better heat protection. I did this on my Air but haven’t felt the need to ok the Gravity. We did...

Buying a Lucid in the next 60 days

I believe 2024 GTs have a heat pump, if I recall correctly. Also yes, the chip upgrade can be done later for roughly that amount

Buying a Lucid in the next 60 days

Doesn’t the 2024 GT have a heat pump and I can install the info entertainment ship later for $1000 right?

    QUESTION Prospective buyer questions

...or alignment problems? Our test vehicle had rear seats that were misaligned. For owners in Southern California or other hot climates: how bad is heat from the glass roof in summer? How effective are the Lucid snap-in roof shades? Is ceramic tint a better solution, or do most people end up...

...over me while navigating the curves really made the drive special. Any doubts I had about the air conditioning in this car are blown away. This heat dome we're in had the ambient temp at a steady 101 but the cabin stayed at a perfect 72. I made two charging stops, one of which was at a magic...

Things I wish they'd done differently

Yes It getting more reasonable and common in a lot of cars now, lots of Germans, Rivian and Toyota/Lexus using those chromatic glass.

Things I wish they'd done differently

I would pay extra for this option to block the sun/heat on hot summer days.

Where to get Replacement Clips for Lucid Air Sun Screen Panels

I have lost 3 of the flimsy clips that hold the sun screen panels in place to reduce the sun heat through the roof glass panel. I contacted the local service center and they do not carry them since it is an accessory. I called the main service customer care line and after 4 hours of waiting...

    Automatic cabin ventilation

To be honest, this was my first bet, and I was just trying to use the temperature to balance between turning on the heat and the AC. As it turns out, it's not that simple because the logic prefers to either just heat or just cool. The biggest challenge starts when it's over a hundred degrees...

    Automatic cabin ventilation

...if you set the ac set point to something higher than ambient then it won’t turn on the compressor (or it shouldn’t, but I’ve not tried it and I’m outside having a beer) anyway if the thermostat is set higher then it won’t turn on. similarly if you set the heat to less than ambient it won’t...

Drive System Warning + battery drain?
