    3.5” Midrange Speakers

If you're pulling the dash, sky's the limit on what you can put in there. Fabricating a custom baffle to fit a larger driver would be an easier chore and you'll have better visibility of barriers/tolerances. Something to consider after initial install, though, is serviceability. A big...

    3.5” Midrange Speakers

A custom mounting ring will be required for any speaker, yes. But you can also customize the entire corner dash area to fit a larger driver than the factory mounting points would fit if you wanted to go that route. This picture from the thread @DreamTour posted about his build shows the tight...

    3.5” Midrange Speakers

The Utopias will be great on any genre and can handle abuse if that is the concern. Make sure you look at dimensions (primarily outer circumference and depth) before deciding unless you are planning to fabricate a custom mounting solution. The Utopias are about as snug as you can fit using the...

    Drafty windows when cold?

Occupant comfort in all types of weather should be a given for a company marketing a luxury experience, regardless of price, but is particularly egregious in the $80K+ price category. HP is not relevant to the topic of the thread.

    Is Lucid outsourcing?

Not cool that you've had issues getting them to answer. Are you calling (703) 657-1514? I've spoken with them probably 10 times the past 2 weeks, and they answered my calls all but one time and called back later in the day in that instance. Tyson's does have a great service crew. As noted...

    Front subwoofers - 6.5 - 8”

Plenty of tutorials out there. Here are a couple to get you started. This DIYMA thread catalogs several tutorials done by Resonix. https://www.diymobileaudio.com/threads/resonix-sound-solutions-tech-tip-videos-helix-pc-tool-rew-more.467235/ A different YouTuber - Socket - has done a good job...

    Complimentary maintenance

Above is the maintenance schedule. When I leased in 2024 they were including 2 years of complimentary maintenance. I would check with a SA to see if it's still available. https://lucidmotors.com/en-sa/stories/lucid-offers-two-year-complimentary-maintenance

    Is Lucid outsourcing?

Have my car at Tysons right now for service. Made the appt in October. They are slammed. Lucid really needs to build out another service center south of DC. Maybe somewhere around Richmond or Raleigh. The closest one in the southeast is down in Georgia. And they also have to serve about half the...

    Front subwoofers - 6.5 - 8”

Here's a video with a pretty good explanation of a front sub install in a new Model Y (second half of the video). This is a SQ competition car so it is way overbuilt relative to what an average build would need, but gives you an idea of construction, install considerations, and resulting...

Windshield Crack - Not Covered by Warranty

Ran across this short video covering the black dots on the borders (frit band) of most windshields. One of the purposes mentioned for the dots is prevention of thermal stress. Went out to the garage to see how "robust" the black dots were on the loaner vehicle I have (car happens to be in for...

    Front subwoofers - 6.5 - 8”

Helix makes great aftermarket DSP amplifiers. Their software is incredible to use and there are many tutorials available online for workflows if you are not already familiar. If you're planning to execute this install, you'll likely need to pull the line level signals post-amplifier and use...

    After market Amp installation

Hey @huggy. Did you ever find any info on an interface for SSP? My research today indicates the Air uses A2B audio bus, not MOST. I'm curious if you found a pathway to something similar to what Mobridge or NAVTV offer. I've seen Goldhorn A2B DSP amplifiers, but their focus seems to be on...

    Front subwoofers - 6.5 - 8”

Thought about it, but never implemented because the car was a short-term lease. Bought an Air with SSP instead and it is worlds apart from standard SS. Not great but much more livable day-to-day. If you are willing to sacrifice 4-6 inches of space in the passenger side footwell, a better...

    2.8.17 update

I too was waiting for 2.8.17 while on 2.8.9 (didn't appear .16 was a positive update). After reading this, went ahead and pushed 2.8.16. The 2.8.17 notification appeared about 10 minutes after .16 completed. Thanks for the tip.

3000+ Mile Air Touring Winter Road trip Diary

Really happy to hear you are having good luck with chargers. They have absolutely improved over the past couple of years, but even this summer on a 1,200 mile trip, we had multiple EAs on the I-95 corridor that were atrocious. I'm sure the performance you're receiving is very much appreciated in...

3000+ Mile Air Touring Winter Road trip Diary

Are you planning to seek out different charging "brands"? I know its more nuanced based on the installed hardware, but IME I have had great luck with the MB branded charge units at outlet malls and Bucees, better than average experiences at the GM Energy stations, and mostly sub par charging...

Bluetooth sound stops fraction of second

Yes. It happened frequently during my errand runs the past 2 days. I've had it happen in the past, but not 2-3 times each song. I'm a late adopter of software updates so still on 2.8.9.

QUESTION Review showing 4.06 miles per kWh with 2025 Air Grand Touring on the highway with 21 Inch Wheels going 73 MPH. Is this even possible!?

The OP's question was on 21" wheels. Very big difference. My leased AT on 19s averaged around 4.1 mi/kWh for the 18,000 miles I put on it. My current AT with 21s is averaging ~3.3 mi/kWh. I had fun with the leased car. I've driven like a grandma in the current one.

    I just canceled my order

And why create an account just to write the book? I could understand if they were already active and decided to let everyone know their decision. Maybe it's therapeutic for them.
