My only thought is that Lucid's Protobuf use might be quite a pain to deal with in "Monkey C." If that is true, just be aware that Lucid also has a (somewhat more limited) plain HTTP/JSON API that would probably be easier. It's been a while since I looked at that one, but happy to help if you...
Same here on the east coast. My best guess is it's having trouble determining which road we're on when there are overpasses or access roads close by. Nav systems lock onto a road and assume you're not teleporting, but maybe this safety system doesn't do that yet.
We're getting off topic here now, but: If you're ready to believe Lucid is misrepresenting or neglecting their logistics, is it any harder to believe one of the dozens of suppliers involved who was under contract to deliver some number of components was misrepresenting or neglecting their...
To be clear, this also doesn't change the infinitesimally small percentage of the company that you own. 1,000 shares out of 3,070,000,000 just becomes 100 out of 307,000,000. Still 0.00003%!
I believe Premium lacks (among other things) the B-pillar cameras, which are used for lane centering. You could surely compensate with other cameras, but that's a pretty big one.
Still a lot of work for a limited number of customers when they could just switch up the packages in the future. It's not just a matter of turning on a feature, they would have to practically build a whole new lane centering system to use the more limited set of cameras.
Well, can it? Maybe. Probably a worse version of it given fewer sensors/cameras. Will it be for current model years? Almost certainly not, there's no reason for Lucid to go through the effort to add a worse version of a feature people specifically didn't pay for. Might it be added to Premium...
What do you mean by "assist"? There should be a banner over the speedometer that says either Adaptive Cruise or Drive Assist. Highway Assist was renamed to Drive Assist a few versions ago. If you have the DreamDrive Pro package and Drive Assist is available, pressing the ADAS button on the left...
There's no motion sensor, but there is the shock sensor if your dogs get a little too rowdy :)
You'll be fine. I've slept in the car with the key disabled so that it locks, and I haven't set off any alarms except by opening a door from the inside. Remember there's Creature Comfort mode, it's...
For what it’s worth, the sunshade seems to have a break-in period of a few uses. It goes up quite easily now. Takes maybe 5 seconds to unfold and slide into place, much better than fumbling with the Heatshield I had before.
I start with my bag on the floor (passenger footwell or behind the driver's seat) so it doesn't end up there forcefully. :)
That said I don't generally need to access my bag while driving. That sounds like the problem. Keep things you need in the car's compartments?
That has been on the website for a long time, since early Airs were all built with all of the hardware for DDP and SSP. At the time it made production simpler so they ate the hardware cost. This only lasted partway through 2023. Anyway, I believe it shows up for all of us regardless of what...
More likely I imagine in a future iteration of the Air the DD packages will be updated to match Gravity’s. Including some additional hardware with Premium to enable lane centering.
I doubt it. Can’t say it’s impossible since surely different sensors could be used to compensate for those missing in DD Premium, but I also can’t see why Lucid would spend extra time/money adding a worse (probably even less safe) version of a feature to cars whose owners elected not to pay for...
What I do is go to the connected devices screen on the pilot panel and tap the phone icon rather than the CarPlay icon. Tapping the CarPlay icon just spins forever, but tapping the phone icon works quickly. That gets the Bluetooth connected, then CarPlay fires up. This has only happened to me a...
