Good point, Gravity owners with DD2 Pro, how exactly does "Hands-free" driving operate? When engaged, how long can you drive hands-free before you are prompted to put your hands back on the wheel? How well does it handle curves in the road?

DD2 Premium does include Lane Departure Protection but I don't believe it steers for you, just some kind of a warning if you leave your lane. You have to option DD2 Pro to get any steering assistance and down the road, Level 3 driving would be possible since it includes all of the ADAS hardware...

premium doesn’t even do main centering. You have to get the Pro version to even at a minimum get that. so it definitely comes with a lot more equipment, thus the attic cost. And a prepares the vehicle for future level 3 through a software update.

So from what I can gather (so far), HUD is working but appears to be a work in progress, awaiting OTA updates. Correct? Haves any owners tried wireless CarPlay? If so, does it perform as expected? Does CarPlay fill the lower screen? How well do DD2 Pro work? How long can you go on the highway...

Really! The Gravity is a people hauler, not a drag strip car. Of course it will be very quick when needed but it is what it is, a family SUV.

I think this is a plausible explanation. Time will tell.

I really don't understand why Lucid tied ambient lighting to optioning HUD. To my thinking, one has nothing to do with the other.
