Lightly-used EQS is now less expensive than a new Model 3 LR

It was really on densely populated streets in Long Beach, but seemed ok, nothing jumped out at me

    Leaving Colorado

Hopefully you will have indoor and secure parking in SF ... it's a nightmare there with all the smashed windows "looking" for valuables. My Niece keeps her car inside their garage (fortunately to have a 3 car one) and only drives the car outside the city ... Ubers everywhere in town.

    Drove a Kia EV9

Kia/Hyundai make some pretty compelling vehicles. I owned a Telluride for 2 years and sold it during the pandemic for more than I paid for it. If they could solve their dealer and service departments, they would be doing even better. I had some pretty bad (and slimy) experiences with sales...

Lightly-used EQS is now less expensive than a new Model 3 LR

I just drove an EQS SUV at a MB focus group. I the ride was very smooth and comparable to Lucid. I did not like regen at all.

    Glitching media

Try disconnecting your phone from Bluetooth. There is the potential that spurious commands are coming from the phone causing the in-vehicle audio to pause. If it turns out to be this. Remove the phone, reboot then repair.

    #RoadToGravity

Latest video shows robotics that will be involved in production ... still in training phase. Peter does state that pre-production will start in a few weeks (as of filming).

Fisker Q4 report: ‘Substantial doubt’ it can continue, seeks investment from ‘large automaker’

…. And they have filed for bankruptcy. Sucks for those that purchased. Saw one for the first time last week. https://electrek.co/2024/06/18/the-time-has-come-fisker-has-filed-for-bankruptcy/

Rubber trim loosens off the wheel well

Hummm ... time to take a closer look at mine again as I had one side loose and one side completely missing at delivery.

Apple’s fancy new CarPlay will only work wirelessly

A little more background on how the next gen CarPlay is designed to work. I hope that this becomes an option on Air. https://www.theverge.com/2024/6/17/24180353/apple-carplay-wireless-system-features

Swapping front to back a viable option?

You should not rotate the tires front to back on 21s, they are staggered. At this point, especially if you are going on a road trip, you risk getting a sudden blowout on one of the tires. If you were say to just drive around town at slower speeds, I'd risk driving for a bit, but freeway...

    Zeekr 007 - A baby Lucid Air

Speculation Apple & Rivian Reportedly in Partnership Talks

Rivian just announced support for UWB for Apple Watch and key support as well as integration of Apple Music. This must be the aforementioned collaboration. Plus they will add cast support so you can cast video (while parked) from supported apps on Apple (and Google) devices.

    Lucid app update v1.49.0

Yes. I don’t use mobile key, and this app update uses tremendous amount of phone battery (iPhone 15 Pro Max) if the app is launched and running in the background. I have to force close the app to prevent this from happening

    Review of sapphire by MKB

Lot's of well earned praise. The Lucid Engineering Team is really top notch. The key fob situation is really the biggest let down. For most of us that are Team Fob, we have experienced similar lack of performance. I really hope that Lucid 100% solves this for Gravity and any Air refresh/update!

Rove Breaks Ground in Santa Ana

Agreed. Charging a high energy fee would kill them IMHO. There's plenty of money to be made on snacks. And yes, I think Corona is planned next and is closer to me. The SA location is near my optometrist, I'll probably check it out when I go later in the year. Also, key for them is getting...

Rove Breaks Ground in Santa Ana

Looks like the Santa Ana location will be opening Summer 24. Based on the 3D tour (rendered), it will look pretty nice. Hopefully, prices will be reasonable for those that need it and like traditional gas stations the real profit is made on the snacks! 3D tour below...
