    Off-Topic GMC Hummer EV

So, I got to test drive a Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 today for about 20 minutes. Here are my thoughts based upon very limited driving time. Big step up to get in and out of so my wife said that she won't be riding in it! It feels a lot smaller inside and driving that it looks from the outside...

    RESOLVED Is motor whine normal?

Has not changed after ~15K miles. I mostly notice it after driving one of our other cars then getting back in the Lucid. My wife's AMG EQS has very little if any motor whine.

    Issues with my Grand Touring

So that begs the question, why would Lucid design an ACC that can't deal with stopped traffic like a bunch of other car makers? Design choice? Can't figure out how?

    Issues with my Grand Touring

The problem that I have is that the ACC in our other cars. Lincoln, Mercedes, DOES slow down for stopped traffic and I am used to that.

Should have said a squashed one, sorry.

Maserati Levante ACC and Highway Assist

One thing that I noticed about the driver assist features in the Maserati, is that it makes lots of sounds! I assume that they are warnings, but I have never driven a car that "talked" so much! ;)

    Switch to Apple?

I much prefer the Andoid ecosystem to Apple's. Just my preference. I think that Apple has very good software and cloud services.

Maserati Levante ACC and Highway Assist

We have been through this many times. It will stop when traffic in front has stopped unlike the current Lucid design. I will stop calling it a bug and just call the Lucid implementation a bad/incomplete design. 😇

    Issues with my Grand Touring

I was talking about Bobby's response to the post. Are you?

    Issues with my Grand Touring

This seems like an overly harsh and personal response, to me.

Maserati Levante ACC and Highway Assist

It was just a rental! Don't like it well enough to buy one. 😇 Still holding out for the Hummer but am getting concerned that it will be hard to park, very wide, and does not have "highway" range.

Maserati Levante ACC and Highway Assist

I have been driving a Maserati Levante SUV for the last several days. it's a National Car rental and therefore a low-end model. So, I was surprised that it had lane keeping highway assist. Suprised even more that is is the best HA system that I have experienced, so far. It works at any speed and...

Missed Q2 2023 Production and Delivery Numbers

By going after a hotter and broader market share, pickups and SUVs, and therefore not competing head-to-head with Telsa. Lucid chose high-end luxury cars which is a much smaller market.

Speculation "Since Last Charge" is confusing and pointless

My car will say you have 385 miles available, which is based on EPA, I guess, but I don't. I want the car to give me a realistic number of miles available based upon past history just like most ICE cars. I don't have this issue with the EQS because it seems to be spot on as to the actual miles...

Speculation "Since Last Charge" is confusing and pointless

I stand by my statement. Lucid can to a much better job of calculating available range.
