    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I'm an engineer, and I'm happy enough to roll with the punches when it comes to the teething problems Lucid vehicles may have. But my wife is a different story. She's likely to be unwilling to carry a backup key in case the main key doesn't work. Particularly...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

For those of us who don't yet have a Lucid, could you clarify what the difference is between the "key" and the "key card" you're talking about?

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I hear OC Detailing does great work. But when you go, don't go alone. Their obsession with dead bodies is a bit worrisome.

Lucid Earth (midsize crossover): ready by summer 2027?

I think that the CEO of Lucid was just interviewed, and said that the midsize will launch at the end of 2026, and actually ship to customers in 2027. But as a another commenter noted, if they keep to that timeline, you might find that mid-year '27 has only more expensive models available.

QUESTION Will HUD be operable on first DE deliveries in May

We've seen some reports of some Sun conditions causing a visible reflection off the HUD display. For those early owners who've seen this, can you describe what Sun angle causes this to occur? When I get a chance to test drive a HUD equipped Gravity, I'm curious to try and reproduce the...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

All I know is that I'm not paying a subscription for garage door opening. I'll just keep a garage door remote in the car.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Ah, that makes sense, I hadn't thought about the LEDs being on a dimming circuit.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

It's not a big deal, but I'm surprised they flicker. Household LED bulbs flicker because they're powered by AC current going through cheap LED drivers. I would have thought that a car's LEDs would be powered by an entirely DC circuit, and thus not have a flicker at all. But perhaps there's an...

    Gravity [Grand Touring] Reservations Tracker

I believe that earlier this year on one of the earnings calls they said that they'd be focused on producing fully optioned Gravities to start. So people selection cheaper variations are more likely to have to wait a bit.

Not working Tesla wall charger but works with Tesla EVSE

I'm not at all certain I'm right about this, but I think a Tesla gen 2 wall charger was designed before NACS and SAE J3400? As such, it might not be compatible with vehicles with NACS charging ports. My impression is that NACS adopted the plug geometry from Tesla, but there were some...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I'm having similar thoughts. The Gravity is my ideal car of everything on the market now. But it's also a bit of a stretch to call it "on the market" since most can't actually buy one yet. If the EV incentive is on the verge of disappearing and there's still no word when my GGT will be built...

    Lease Gravity

As a few of us seem to be on the verge of taking delivery, I wonder if anyone can report the residual in the lease agreement they're about to sign?

Lease return excess wear & tear

If Lucid personnel certify that the vehicle was undamaged when you hand it over, and the leasing company inspection finds damage, you potentially have a case to argue that the damage was caused after the vehicle was out of your hands, and thus it's not your responsibility. Winning that argument...

    Gravity GT Supernova Bronze deliveries

My impression is that any manufacturer's painting equipment doesn't quickly change colors. At a certain production volume it ceases to matter much, because they'll have multiple painting rooms (bays? machines? not sure the right term). But Lucid is still low volume, so the color switchover...

Gravity GT First Drive and Orders information

It's not enough to put me off buying a Gravity, but whatever performance gain one may get from the staggered tires doesn't seem worth the decrease in practicality. An extremely small fraction of owners are going to push its performance limits, but tire maintenance and replacement will be...

Hold onto your butts - Hagerty Drag Race

Where did this come from? I went to the Hagerty site, and I don't see anything about it.

    Gravity test drive

I don't understand why key fobs are hard. Isn't this a solved problem, for many years now? The fob for my Toyota is quite compact, the battery lasts for years, the only circumstance it's ever failed me is from that battery wearing out, at which point the fob still has a key folded into it. I...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

When I went to visit Millbrae to look at the 5-seat Gravity they now have on display, the SA was clear that it also is a pre-production vehicle. The indents on the floor where the 3rd row seats would attach were an artifact of that.

    Gravity test drive

Yeah, I think Waymo's approach to safety and building confidence in their system is a better one. I've never tried to look into what Mercedes is doing for their autonomous driving. It'd be interesting to know how they approach data transparency.

    Gravity test drive

I think society will insist on autonomous vehicles proving they're much safer than a human driver. Our tolerance for robots accidentally killing people is probably much lower than our tolerance for humans doing so. Most people seem to know at least one person who has been seriously injured or...
