    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Interesting, I'd never heard of that company before. I see they also sell screen protectors for the car, which is a product I'd never thought of before. I don't know that I worry about cracking the screen on the vehicle, but I am curious if it's actually better for maintaining clarity in the...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

It's frustrating how bad the situation is for wireless charging standards. I find it's not particularly reliable, and end up just plugging my phone into a USB-C cable so that I don't have to worry about it. USB standards are also a huge mess, but at least we're now at a point where you can be...

    LUCID Gravity Lease vs Finance

I'd love to hear confirmation from someone who is leasing a Gravity about whether the lease agreement permits the early buyout, or not. I don't know whether it's likely that the lease agreement language is different for the Gravity, but it seems possible.

So, I guess the takeaway is: It's hip to be square? Sorry, I'll show myself out.

Can you haul a 4'x8' sheet of drywall?

My hesitation isn't about the nagging about the open door. It's concern about the door sticking up above the roofline at highway speeds and being buffeted about by the air. I'd be curious to know whether the rear door will hold an almost closed position, or whether it really wants to be all...

New to the Lucid Family - From Model X to Gravity Dream Edition

Speaking as an engineer, it's remarkable to me how often engineers ignore the basics of human factors. At work we just moved into a new office building. There are pretty intuitive designs to cue people whether they should push a door in, or pull it out. Our new office completely ignores that...

    Should I make a reservation?

The short answer is: nobody can say for sure. The longer answer is: They seem to be sequencing through the various color options. Green was first, black next, and white is anticipated soon. Any other color might well take you past the end of September, but it's hard to say for sure. They've...

Sounds like there's a good story to be told there!

    LUCID Gravity Lease vs Finance

It's been asked before whether Lucid's leases allow penalty free early buyouts, but I don't think I've seen an answer to that question. While I want the HUD, if I could get an early lease buyout and the $7500 discount on a GGT without HUD delivered before the end of September, I'd likely jump...

    LUCID Gravity Lease vs Finance

I do understand that manufacturers have long aggressively subsidized their financing, both for auto loans and for leases. While I've never leased, I have had two 0% auto loans. I walked in able to pay cash, but it's hard to turn down a 0% loan. In an odd way, financing subsidies seem to...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

It's hard to imagine that it wouldn't A black cloth ought to do the trick. I assume that the HUD reflections are visible whether the HUD is on or off? Looking at the photo @hydbob posted, I can see from the shadows that the Sun is pretty high in the sky, but not directly overhead. Maybe...

    Lease Gravity

There's been a lot of discussion about lease returns for Airs, and how frustrated people are with Bank of America. If BofA (or some other bank now) is the owner of the leased vehicles, perhaps the end-of-lease is more about the Bank's legal status in the state than Lucid's? Just wildly...

New to the Lucid Family - From Model X to Gravity Dream Edition

Yeah, the inability to open the door when you're inside is a pet peeve of mine about Teslas. More of a problem in the dark than in the daylight, and obviously a first-world problem. But every time I run into it, I think "jeeze, why fix something that wasn't broken?" If you own a Tesla, you...

    Q2 ‘25 Production/ Deliveries

For the first 6 months of the year, they effectively were not ramping Gravity at all, only beginning deliveries right at the end of June. I think no one has any clue what their production and delivery rate will be now that they've started delivery. It's entirely possible that they're...

Can you haul a 4'x8' sheet of drywall?

That's my plan for the Gravity I have on order. If I didn't have dogs, I might well seek a smaller vehicle than a Gravity. On the flip-side, the low entry height is big plus as the dogs get older.

Can you haul a 4'x8' sheet of drywall?

I imagine the Gravity will complain endlessly if you drive with the rear door open. I probably wouldn't want to do it at all at highway speeds.

She'll let me buy the car I want, but then I'll never hear the end of it if she finds it annoying. And we are essentially a one car family (I do have an ICE pickup truck for hauling and transporting raw materials for my workshop).

She's "opinionated" about technology that doesn't work seamlessly. As I'm the IT consultant for all technology in our home, I have to cope with her ranting about this sort of thing on a semi-regular basis.
