    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

I think there may be a mixup in terminology here. IANAL, but my understanding is "subletting" is you renting the car to a third party. For example, your nephew wants a new car, but can't qualify for the lease. You have great credit and lease the car, then your nephew pays you the monthly payment...

    Vibration at Low Speed

I just read the Wikipedia article on this. It mentioned that modern autos don't use pure Ackerman geometry because of differences between low speed and high speed handling. I've always wondered why my Model X has a bit of a lurching feel when doing a tight turn at low speeds. It feels a lot...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

My guess is both are true. I think they are completely out of HUD units and waiting on a new shipment that (hopefully) addresses the optics artifacts.

I'm pretty certain the windshield already has UV protection.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

When we first spent some time with the showroom Gravity at Scottsdale, it would initially only play audio. I thought it might have had something to do with interrupting the Clearview demo video... The car stopped responding for a bit and we had to do a steering wheel reboot. Later it played the...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

The weight of the bicycles also extends upwards from the receiver, and if you are launching, that's a 1g load at several feet from the mounting point. And for most bike racks, all of the mass of the carried items is attached at the upper end of that moment arm. Whereas when towing, the hitch...

Distance adjustments using gap settings button

In my opinion the short distance needed to "prevent" other cars from cutting in is too short to allow time to brake in an emergency situation. This is what leads to multiple-car pile-ups. I drive my X with the longest-possible follow distance. In very heavy traffic I will reduce to maybe 4 or 5...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Which specific Supercharger location? Are the posts labeled 1A, 1B, 2A,2B, etc? Or are they 1A,1B,1C,1D,2A,2B,2C,2D, etc?

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

I'm kind of liking my speculation that I posted in the Delivery thread:

I'm going broke waiting on my charger from Lucid

I just see one red flag here: it says 48A with NEMA 14-50. If using the plugin, please be sure to limit the charge rate to 40A (80% of circuit breaker is max charging rate allowed). 48A requires hard-working and a 60A breaker.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

A visual guide to Tesla Superchargers. First the ones categorically not useable by Lucids: V1 & V2: Labels at base of charger post are a cabinet number and letter A or B. A and B posts share the power (120-150kW) from the cabinet, so it's advisable Tesla drivers to choose an unused cabinet...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I think you may have the receiver in upside-down. If you look at the diagram @Elfin posted, the ball is required to be above the receiver hole.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I have a theory about the HUD. DISCLAIMER: This is pure speculation, I have no inside knowledge, I am probably wrong.... I am wondering if the supply chain issue is actually that the supplier had build issues with the units delivered to Lucid? We know: * Lucid expected to deliver all DE...

    NACS Megathread

Those other manufacturers promised the adapters at the time of sale because they were promising NACS charging as a feature. And as part of that promise they were saying they would have good charging speeds. Lucid never promised this.

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Explanation I posted in another thread on this same topic: https://lucidowners.com/threads/here-you-go-fellas-lucid-air-sc-network-will-be-enabled.12955/post-282561

I think that makes the R1S a truck. A minivan can close the rear door 😋

Here you go fellas! Lucid Air SC network will be enabled

Tesla Superchargers are the only network that still assumes a 400v battery system is being charged. All of the 800v+ battery systems that are able to charge on Superchargers implement some form of gymnastics to allow their batteries to charge (batteries require a charging voltage higher that the...

    Gravity test drives?

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Just a couple of points to maybe reframe your discussion with Lucid. I don't think they want you to change to GGT, they are simply offering a car that will be completed sooner in case that's more important than the build you have configured. And if you take them up on that, I am sure the $1k...

    GGT in the Seattle Studio!

In 2016 the 6-seat was the only configuration available. My 2018 is a 5 seater. I needed the cargo space and didn't have any need at the time for the third row But now with 4 grandchildren, 7 seats are important...hence Gravity 😊
