More phantom breaking in the last month or so ...

Not sure if this is related, in terms of causal factors, to the typical highway phantom braking (which I haven’t experienced). Not infrequently, when backing out of my garage, it seems the car sees something neither my wife or I ever see as I back on to the street. In response to this phantom...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

As has been said, if the observable benefits (slightly or significantly less lag depending on who is posting their observations) are important to you, then go for it. For me, at least at this point where the new chip is not tied to new features, I’m in no rush.

It’s happened to me too post-update. I never had it happen prior.

    OTA Update 2.7.0

Until you find the inevitable comments, "I wish they had left the ride & handling tuning alone, I liked it better the way it was". You know it's coming.

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

If you do, It will void your warranty on the car and your toaster oven. ;)

Beware the car, beware the company

Tony, according to that recall a failure would not have affected steering or brakes. The OP claims that both were affected. So it doesn't look like that was the issue, unless it was some variant of that issue. He posted at about 12pm, but hasn't responded to any of the questions that have arisen.

    AC compressor failure

Sorry to hear about this. Although AC compressor failures are certainly not uncommon in any vehicle, it's the first I've heard of it in a Lucid. I'm surprised that it wreaked so much havoc with the car in general, but if it's the same system that helps control battery temperature, I can see why...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

At least in my case I’d estimate that 95-98% of the time the doors open reliably as you approach the car with the fob in your pocket, no button pressing necessary. The remaining 2-5% of the time the opening occurs either just as you arrive at the car or within 1-2 seconds after. Locking is 100%...

Any way to “lock” the trip reset buttons?

I live in fear my wife will brush up against the reset. It’s for that reason I never leave that screen exposed and only glance at it when needed. Even if they implemented a long press for reset, that would generally take care of the problem.

Cosmos Silver Metallic with Leather (and 14 way) vs Fathom Blue with Leather Alt (and 20 way)

When I was shopping for my car the sales associate showed me both the real leather and the PurLuxe. Both he and I agreed the PurLuxe felt softer and at least for me, it 'seated' more comfortably. I went with Fathom Blue, but again that's purely subjective.
