I had this with the previous version, but after a few seconds it would detect the key. It never happened before that.

An easy fix for when you hit play in Carplay and no sound comes out is to hit the audio output selector on your phone and switch it to Carplay. For some reason, it will occasionally try to output to the normal bluetooth connection instead. I would think it's an Apple bug more than Lucid.

Rivian isn't perfect either. We took delivery of our R1S on Monday, today it's leaking what appears to be hydraulic fluid on the garage floor from the rear. And I'm supposed to go on a 700 mile trip tomorrow. Different problems, either way they're taken care of.

I would hope they have that figured out by now. :) If not, then they're 3 more years away from launching that fugly thing.
