How long does Lucid continue to update software for free?

At some point just as we do not have 3G anymore, 4G LTE will be gone. At that point, any software updates can be done by USB and it is entirely possible that USB dongles could be offered by Lucid or like Tesla did, upgrade the CPU boards but not for free. No automaker has ever given free...

    Software update 2.3.0

I thought that the door opened immediately when I touched it with the phone in my pocket. I did not pay attention to the other changes yet in 2.3.0

    Software update 2.3.0

I did not wake up the car. Leaving the app open in the background was enough to get a notification. I think the notification came from the cloud to the phone. Once the update was downloaded to the car, the cloud must be pushing the notification to the phone.

    Software update 2.3.0

Leave the Lucid App open on your phone. You will get a notification when an update is available to install. It will tell you the expected time to install and require 20% SoC on the car.

    Software update 2.3.0

The cameras never stopped working for me even at 115F. Mine is on 2.2.10 as of now.

    Software update 2.3.0

I don't mind at all if others get it and test it and report any problems before I get it. I don't think I will notice much difference in the update where I drive. They did not add any new features in DD at street level or maps that I would use and notice.

    Wiper blade replacements

I am wondering if the high heat degrades the rubber on the wiper blades and so we may have to replace them for a different reason.

Real world range touring 19 inch wheels

I did not try that but others have the data. For example at 80mph I saw Pure and Touring owners report around 3 vs 3.7 at 70 which makes sense. 14% more speed 20% less efficiency.

Did they make changes in the battery and motors in the 25 model vs the previous one? It looks like a smaller battery.

We carry the key FOBs in RFID pouch for that reason. My wife does not open the Lucid App on her phone when I am driving. Besides, my wife is scared to drive Lucid😀

Lucid is changing my HV battery

BTW, if they replace the battery and wunderbox, be sure to ask them if they updated the Plug and Charge PnC Certificate to charge at EA. Otherwise you have to use the Lucid App to charge.

    Drove a Kia EV9

Hyundai/Kia/Gensesis for sure overtook all the Japanese automakers worldwide except Toyota. Toyota being so late to the EV party gave a windfall to them. Having owned Toyota/Lexis from 1986 to 2024, I too picked up a Hyundai for my wife.

    Lucid in Accident

It warns at higher speed but brakes at low speed. I clarified it. Thanks. I would like this document to reflect what the manual says and any experience we gather so that potential accidents can be prevented or minimized.

    Lucid in Accident

Lucid does not do emergency braking as much as we like to prevent an accident even though there is Radar and Lidar in addition to cameras. Here is what I gathered from the manual after my accident caused by near 100% SoC and lack of regen and no emergency braking. If I read the manual, I would...
