Yesterday I spoke to five different people and all of them were from the 3rd party agency. I kept going from one person to another hoping to get different info. We’re you talking about Thursday? If not I guess I missed the Lucid employees. Tks for the info.
I realize that is standard but I thought Lucid was a different kind of company and that one real employee might be there. The overall show was terrible as all the better Mfg no longer come. Rivian, Porsche etc.
So I just finished visiting the Lucid area at the LA Show. The car is a lot better than I thought. After waiting 3 years I’m ready.
However, Lucid is still suffering from growing pains. I found the following very disturbing at the show. They had at least 8 or more representatives who were...
Why didn’t they clarify that today?
Also, why didn’t they clarify when someone could order? Leads me to believe that a late 2024 delivery is questionable.
I agree with you on the width. It’s similar in width, I think, to the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo. I just sold mine and it didn’t seem to narrow but obv different than a lot of other cars. I also think people are excited about an $80k price point. I doubt initially many will get sold at $80k...
It’s reasonable to assume pricing will be $5-7500 more than the current models. The question is when will the lowest price Gravity be available? They need to be competitive with Tesla X and with EQS and the new Electric Range Rover on the high end. The Market above $125k is tiny.
Since Tesla will only sell less than 24,000 Model X in 2023 I would think Lucid would be Lucky to sell 10,000 units in 2025. ESP if Gravity is an average of $100,000. A Base Model X is only $73,000 now.
While Gravity will increase sales how many can they sell? If you look at Mercedes EQE and EQS sales Lucid is not going to sell more with Gravity. Mercedes is discounting their EQ cars$ 6-8k. Does the World need another SUV over $100k Plus Options? The stock is trading under $5. The decreasing...
If you were considering ordering a new EV and you read the news today would you order a Lucid? Would you worry that nine months after you get the Car that the Company will be out of business or sold? I would like to order the Gravity. However, maybe I should stick with a company that I know...
I agree with you that the Market over $130k for an SUV is very small. I’m just don’t see how Gravity initially comes out for less than $130k. Maybe in 3-4 years they will have a less expensive version but certainly not for 2024-5. Like everyone else I’ve been waiting anxiously to see the final...
Good overall review but what about a few of Kyle’s comments: Not in any particular order
1. Road noise may be an issue esp compared to the EQS. He was not sold on what he was told.
2. He didn’t seem to love the Lucid overall design( he clearly likes the Taycan and said he was purchasing one)...
I think Lucid is also having a sales problem. While they claim they have orders for 10,000 Cars this may be high. Here are the problems I see:
1. Certainly not the most important but interest in a Forum is an indication of overall interest in a Car. RIVIAN and the Porsche Taycan have well over...
What do people think about the Dash not being full Leather? They are using(it appears) Alcantara for the front 50% of the Dash with, I think, Leather for the back part of the Dash. I think it’s strange to have Alcantara on the dash.
