Starting to regret getting this car...

Every auto forum I frequent makes you think EVERY car is a deeply flawed POS, and clearly that's not the case. However for someone like the OP, it must be incredibly frustrating to own a car that is plagued with multiple serious issues, and come to a forum to voice expression and get little...

Easy Entry and Apple car play issues

Hmmm. In my Audi, CarPlay will continue to play--even with the ignition off--until I open the door. Then it immediately stops. My car doesn't have auto lock/unlock--evrything is controlled by door handle sensors. I gather this isn't the way CarPlay works with the Air?

    Lease return difficulties

There is a big difference between liking a product and liking a brand. You are implying that younger people like products while older people like brands. I'm saying I think that is far from universal.

    Lease return difficulties

Your post has made me reflect on my own vehicle purchase decisions. I have always like the way German cars handle. It is right in my sweet spot. I started with VWs. Then, when I could afford it, I tried the German luxury brands. My Mercedes experience was awful. The car was just ok, and I didn't...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Yes the Natick studio is where I was offered a GGT. I think he said it already had a VIN, but it was green and loaded

    Inventory / Purchasing

My guess would be that they are severely parts-constrained, and using what parts they do have available to produce cars for customers. This would make sense why Studios getting cars, but not allowing them to be test driven.

King of Prussia Service Center :: Grand Re-Opening and rally June 7, 2025

This brings back memories. I used to live next to Valley Forge Park. I went to Jr High and High School there. I was a KOP mall rat back when E.J. Korvettes was one of the anchor stores.

    Lease return difficulties

This will be my fifth car lease. The other four were with Audi FS, and I recall having to just say no to the F&I guy a couple times.

    Inventory / Purchasing

No this was a specific car that was available to me if I was interested. I think it had been cancelled by the original buyer. The only thing I'm not sure I recalled correctly is the time frame from giving my ok to delivery.

    Inventory / Purchasing

I haven't ordered a Gravity, but when I called to check on the progress of my AGT order, they offered me a Gravity that was already in production and would be available in a couple weeks IIRC.

    Lease return difficulties

The termination fee is something you have to watch out for in leasing agreements. I've never entered a contract that has one. We'll see how Lucid feels about it when it is time to sign an agreement.

Lease return excess wear & tear

Helpful and interesting. It doesn't say anything about wheel rash.

Lease return excess wear & tear

This is an eye opener to me. I will be asking some hard questions when it comes to my lease.

Wow! Interesting and convoluted all at the same time.

Starting to regret getting this car...

This behavior isn't limited to Lucid, unfortunately.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Well I understand what you are saying, but it is possible to parse this too finely (personally, I think Occam's razor applies here). This is from a manager at one of the Lucid stores. They were very excited about getting a showroom car. Not a test drive car--a showroom car. Look I think the...

    Getting out of lease early

Well yeah I get that thanks. But my point was you can get free and clear of your obligations and sell the car privately. You avoid a ton of BS that way, and you put the whole thing behind you sooner.

    Getting out of lease early

Personally, I would pay off the remaining lease payments, then buy the car and sell it privately (or trade it in on a new car). I did that with my Q7 and netted about $15k on the transaction. This was during covid and dealers were VERY short on inventory.
