My AGT went to HOU for PDI and I got home delivery in Austin. My experience was super positive. Basically my options were for them to bring me to HOU on 9/26 or home delivery 9/27, so I chose the latter.
Sure. I wasn't necessarily looking for a lecture on how a car or a plane is different from a phone.
They will have quality requirements that are different from average consumer electronic device - even before going to ONE car.
But since they inherently tout their ability to improve our...
As I super impatiently await UX2.0, I am increasingly curious about what would technically limit/throttle OTA rollouts.
I'm a hardware/Silicon engineer so not as familiar with SW limitations. Asking the resident software experts.
There really aren't many Airs in the field at this point...
Sorry this might be a little inappropriate but wanted to share.
Yesterday my wife declared that I’m becoming a “Lucidouche”.
I’m not 100% sure how to interpret but pretty confident it’s not entirely positive 😂
Yeah that could definitely be the case. Possibly the LCID PDI process/rigor overall as well. Time will tell, though. In general I'm optimistic that LCID is learning and determining how to avoid others' pitfalls.
I haven't monitored this sort of thing long enough to form any real opinion about the meaning behind this, but Lucid's Q3 ratio of delivered/produced (61%) is way lower than Rivian (or Tesla).
Looking back, RIVN was at 48% in Q1'22, 101% in Q2'22 and 89% in Q3'22, so perhaps this is just how...
Wow. Seems like in just a few weeks since I was going through this that their deliveries have started outpacing their logistics. Yet another stage in their growing pains.
FWIW my car was delivered 9/27 and I had a similar experience. It was delivered with 1.2.185 and I waited then requested customer care to push 1.2.19 and then later 1.2.20. 1.2.21 came automatically shortly after installing 20.
That haven't set a date for the earnings call but recent history would suggest it'll be in early Nov.
Also the way Lucid operates, I'd be shocked if they don't put out new "UX"-type videos from Derek and co after 2.x drops.
Mobile service came out today. Thankfully the problem ended up being the 14-50 connector of all things. They replaced my entire mobile charger since they don't have just that connector by itself, apparently. So now getting 9kW from the charger. Happy day.
As an aside, my overall experience...
Within 1-2 days of delivery I got a fedex envelope with all the documentation to sign (get notarized in 2 cases) and return via fedex to Lucid. Then they handle registration, etc. If you never got that paperwork, that's a problem. Contact CS and/or your DA.
