    Lucid Air vs. Mercedes EQS

they could have done it on the rear section. That would have sufficed.

    Lucid Air vs. Mercedes EQS

Those of us with Children find it quite important. My toddler can nap for 2 hours in our Mercedes but 20-30 minutes at best in our Tesla. This is a very important feature. I get it is a non issue for others. I don’t understand why they didn’t do an electrochromic tint. Even the Toyota Venza...

Let's talk about the Air's interior compared to competing luxury cars

The lighting can be turned off in the EQS or adjusted to any brightness level, but it cannot be turned on the Lucid. So on this dimension the EQS is clearly superior. The car is also available without a hyper screen.

    Air Dream Deliveries?

Good idea but I don’t know how to do that. Plus you would need a pre launch baseline to filter out the test vehicles and employee cars. any idea how to do what you are saying?

Deciding between Lucid touring, Tesla X, and Mercedes EQS

good riddance. That guy was a total idiot.

    Tesla / Lucid Talk

I dont think the battery life's that different despite what the EPA says. My Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD Averages 188 miles range in the real world. The Porsche tends to exceed its EPA estimate. Your battery longevity issue is also idiotic. It has an 8 year 100k mile battery warranty. So...

    Tesla / Lucid Talk

I've had a 2021 Tesla since May. While it functions quite well, the car is so minimalistic that it really destroys your soul. I feel poor ever time I drive that car. It has none of the luxuries I am used to in my other cars - Fine finishes and materials, hand stitched leather on the...

Question Regarding Leaving The Car With PPF Installer

You test with an object. I know that on our Tesla, the sensors do not need to be cut out. On the 2021 Tesla, the sensors are PPFd and work flawlessly. Same on my 2018 Porsche and 2020 Mercedes. On older cars you needed a hole in the wrap.

Question Regarding Leaving The Car With PPF Installer

They could test it without holes, and then cut the holes if needed. I prefer the sensors wrapped.

    Insurance

The quote may be high because the car launched without drivers assistance safety features.

Let's talk about the Air's interior compared to competing luxury cars

Speaking for myself, the answer is availability. I prefer the EQS, but if my dealer keeps struggling to get an allocation for the dual motor model, then I will take delivery of a Lucid and drive that until the EQS arrives. They're both good cars, the EQS is just more full featured. While I...

    Lucid Air vs. Mercedes EQS

I think the luxury is things like: 1) Heads-up Display with Augmented Reality which means you will never miss a turn or be unsure which turn to take 2) Retractable electric blinds on the glass roof and doors so you can darken the cabin when your baby needs to nap in the back 3) Apple Carplay 4)...

    Dream Drive being enabled?

It seem the ability to self steer on the highway under adaptive cruise (Autopilot, SuperCruise and Drivepilot functionality) is not coming in January and doesn't have a firm date. I find that a bit troubling since it is something I expect in a car at this price. Also is there a date for CarPlay?

Problems, glitches, issues and observations etc

You may have the first instance of a car requiring a manufacturer buyback. Will be interesting to see how Lucid handles it.

Who the Hell Is Going to Buy a Lucid?

I think sooner or later there will be a version of the DE which is available to everyone. It doesn't make sense for Lucid to develop a 0-60 in 2.4s car and then only sell the version that caps at 3. They need a 2.4s car in their line-up because some people (not me) care about that.

What States are the Air Dream Editions going to?

I wonder whether they are describing this based on customer location, or selling showroom. When I went to the Miami showroom, the guy told me they had delivered a Dream Edition to Atlanta. I'm always looking out for it but haven't seen it on the roads yet.

    Review from Detroit Free Press

Right. The issue is that in the Lucid you have to position your drivers seat lower if you are tall. When I got into the Air in the showroom my head hit the roof. So I lowered the seat. When you lower the seat, you also have to position it further back. This cannibalizes rear legroom. So...
