If this is the case, that’s a great improvement. I didn’t rely on EA much on my cross country trip so can’t say too much about it. I did have the most fantastic charging experience at the charging station with perhaps the best view in Sedona, AZ.
Coincidentally heard from Chris 10 minutes after posting here....
Chris has been great, but he himself hasn't had much in terms of details. Yes, he has been communicating with me that he has nothing to say other than the Lucid legal department is involved and that someone is supposedly working...
Chris at Costa Mesa has been great and I feel the issue has been escalated properly, but I feel that even Chris has been left a bit in the dark. Anyway, I got assurances that I should be hearing something more definitive today.
Those scenarios seem a bit different from mine. Once the vehicle initiated breaking, it wasn't for an instant and then it resumed at the set speed...it just full on applied brakes and would have come to a full stop (speculating here, since I took over and accelerated).
For me these happened...
I don't have a loaner, no (but I do have a giant Nissan Armada that doesn't fit in my garage :)
It's been over 2 weeks an I have very little detail to go off of. Patience would be fine if I got better communication about what is going on.
Quick update on this. From what I know so far (which is limited) is that there is nothing physically wrong with the vehicle. Lucid has been exceptionally tight lipped about this, which is frankly disappointing. When I've pressed the service advisor from Costa Mesa for more details, I've...
So far Lucid has taken this particular complaint very seriously. The Costa Mesa service advisor has been super thorough with questions. He even asked me not to wash the car and make sure whatever bug guts were covering sensors were left intact for them the look at. I haven’t heard if they’ve...
Right, this happens to me all the time and is by design. Though, when I do get that warning my hand is resting on the wheel. I just wish there were capacitive touch points to indicate to the software that the operator’s hands are indeed on the wheel instead of having to torque the steering...
Absolutely 100% certain this was not due to a button or pedal press. The fact that it happened twice is also all that more concerning.
My eyes were on the road (and I have the alertness warning off because with my steering wheel position at the highest setting, it doesn’t actually work for...
Thanks. I’ll wait for some more responses then. My previous service advisor mentioned that this would not be addressable via a mobile visit after I told him what had happened.
I’ll be in Palm Springs, CA in 3 days and would want to address after as I’m traveling with pets and another moving truck that’s packed to the gills. I would think there’s another closer location than Scottsdale, but good to know.
Won’t be using Adaptive cruise (nor its dumber cousin, HA)...
This unfortunate scenario has now happened twice during my cross country travels over the past 5 days. Scenario goes as follows:
Calmly driving with Adaptive cruise set to 70. Following a moving truck in front of me, at a preset distance. I get a random “emergency parking brake” fault that...
I’ve been road tripping across the country (from RI to CA). While most of my Lucid’s electron thirst has been met by destination chargers at hotels (which is the way to go in my opinion), I did have to charge today and just so happened to be an EA station in Erick, OK. Showed up preconditioned...
Ok, that’s got to be frustrating. Stuff like this makes me wonder how thoroughly things were diagnosed initially. Sorry you’re having to go through this.
This happened to me driving in the rain. I got a yellow triangle with an exclamation point and it flashed several times without ever staying on long enough to see what it was about. Yet another example. Mine had some sort of text next to it but it appeared and disappeared so quickly, I...
