    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

No I hadn't! I hope that one of these will turn out to be one of the Lucid optimized winter focused tires for Gravity said to be coming out later this year! The July release date of the tire would explain why Lucid doesn't currently have a winter tire option.

    Gravity accessories slowly appearing

An 80A circuit for charging does strike me as a bit of a luxury. But when you're paying $100K+ for a luxury vehicle, the luxury of fast charging in your garage doesn't seem unreasonable. My house doesn't have the capacity for more than a 50A circuit without substantial upgrades, but I'd put in...

    Towing a Lightship?

Lightship's website says the AE1 Cosmos Edition has a dry weight of 7450 lbs, and a GVWR of 8300 lbs. Unless I'm looking at the wrong version of a Lightship and there's a lighter variation one can buy, you're mistake about the Gravity being able to handle it. Near as I can tell, the Cosmos...

    Gravity accessories slowly appearing

Multiple companies make variations on this product. Dometic, BougeRV, and VEVOR immediately come to mind, and I'll bet there are dozens of others. I haven't researched it, but I wouldn't be shocked if someone makes a small electric cooler that would fit in the frunk.

How long before all GDEs are delivered?

My dogs don't mind my driving, but my wife seems to get car sick when I'm really enjoying myself on the twisty mountain roads.

    Gravity; SUV or Minivan

I think that the relatively short hood is what gives minivan vibes to some people, more than anything else. That's the only part of the design that really stands out from many other vehicles that people are happy to call SUVs. I don't really care one way or the other, function matters way more...

Gravity spotted testing on Nürburgring Nordschleife Racetrack (Germany)

I'm sure this is heavily a product of the person behind the wheel, but the Gravity looks a lot more planted and stable in the high G and abrupt corners than most of the other vehicles shown. I'm never going to stress the limits deliberately like that, but I like to know that a vehicle has the...

Gravity spotted testing on Nürburgring Nordschleife Racetrack (Germany)

As mentioned in one of the tire threads, David Lickfold just Friday said that they've been testing for the last three weeks at various places in Europe, with all three OEM tires, continuing to refine the dynamics, and will be releasing the results as an OTA update.

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

I was specifically asking him about driving in the snow. Obviously that would be a bad idea with the Pirelli tires, so that's why he was only talking about the Hankook and Michelin tires.

    Gravity accessories slowly appearing

I wonder what sort of floor mats the Gravity ships with standard. Living in the mountains, with snow in the winter, I typically prefer fully waterproof mats with deep groove to contain a fair bit of water/snow-melt.

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

Unfortunately, I'm assuming the Gravity is going to be low volume enough that there will not be any well done third-party testing of the Lucid specific tires.

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

My assumption, possibly naively, is that they're trying to optimizing their chassis dynamics in a way that works well for all the OEM tire choices, and not doing three different software algorithms. As contact with the road is a safety-critical aspect of a vehicle, I'd also expect that they're...

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

David Lickfold responded to my tire query: It's fascinating to hear that Lucid expects to continue improving the Gravity's dynamics. It sounds like those of us with a need for cold weather tires will eventually have a Lucid-tuned option available for the 20"/21" wheels.

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

Good to hear some positive experience. I don't know anything about Vredestein, and so have little opinion about the brand. Looking more comprehensively on the Tire Rack site, I see there are actually more options if you consider the 21"/22" wheels as well. For some reason, if you search for...

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

What do you mean by "not going mass market"? They're planning to launch a mid-market vehicle next year. I applaud them for that, but it does seem likely to put the same kind of pressure on their service network that Tesla experienced when they started selling larger numbers of vehicles.

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

I generally have a lot of faith in Lucid's engineering team. When they pick a tire, I'm betting that they're a lot smarter and more expert than I am. My only concern with their choices is that none of them are 3PMSF rated. I don't think that's the end-all-be-all of tire ratings, but I'd love...

    Gravity 75 mph Range

Anyone have experience with what the range hit is from putting roof rack bars on an EV? I recall early Gravity promo photos including a roof rack and a luggage pod. But I don't recall seeing any of that in this years promotional promos or vehicle reviews. Maybe they dropped the idea, because...

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

I was curious what 3PMSF tires might cost for the 20/21 wheel combo. To my surprise, Tire Rack only lists the Vredestein Quatrac Pro+ as a 3PMSF option, for $1,309.08. I'd thought that CrossClimate 2 were made in the right sizes, but it appears they don't make the 284/45R21 size.

    Towing a Lightship?

It's somewhat more common to describe AI as "hallucinating" rather than "lying". While they do sometimes say something that's not true, lying implies a deliberate statement of something known to be false, which doesn't really describe what's going on when AI models say something untrue.

    Lucid Financing issues

A pox on all the credit reporting agencies. I know they're a necessary evil for an economy that relies so heavily on credit, but I've had a number of bad interactions with them.
