Status just went to “In Production” this evening 12/14 (and VIN was assigned) after going into “Preparing for Production” on Friday 12/9.

You may want to double check the numbers and particularly the letters in your VIN b/c for example zeros and “O’s” can easily get confused etc. You probably have all that covered but just a thought in case…
Copy that! I had a Grand Cherokee Overland that had a beautiful interior but the stitching on the dash reflected in the windshield. I thought it would probably drive me crazy but after about 2 weeks, I never noticed it again!!! 😂
You can identify the Zenith Red one as not being a Touring by the platinum upper portion on the side view mirror. If it was a Touring, that portion of the mirror would be Zenith Red.
You can read on p. 146 of the Inflation Reduction Act the language dealing with the Transition. It is quite clearly consistent with the interpretation that Broklynboy describes above.
Not really. In furtherance of what Joec posted today at 1:31pm it is quite possible that an inventory of Tourings were produced but VIN’s were not assigned to customers until such time as PDI and QC could be completed so that this rigorous process could assure the best quality for the cars...
