My issue was with the repair shop, not my carrier. They hadn't even gotten an estimate to consider. I was being sarcastic with my questions about rental coverage. Of course no one has unlimited rental coverage.

I took my car to Karoseerie a year+ ago & got fed quite a load of b.s. I was leaving in 3 weeks so I asked the Mgr. If the work could be done in 3 weeks. He said absolutely. I asked if there was any difficulty getting parts. He said no. So 17 days later, and after multiple phone calls by me...

Just heard from service at KOP - they got my car last Friday and expect to have the new battery INSTALLED this week. WOW!!!! I never expected it to happen so quickly. I am very happily surprised

Unfortunately, I will be the newest member of this battery replacement club :( Don't know exactly when my Touring was made, but I received it in late December 2022. Any insights on how long the whole process took for my fellow club members? BTW, I have about 46,000 miles on the car.

So true, there's still plenty of time. My ex used to prosecute car theft in Brooklyn. In the late 80s I had 3 cars stolen in 4 months (1 of my own & 2 rentals). I was the prosecutor's best customer. I expected them to provide me with a hotline (like the US & Russia) to save everyone time :)
