Is there a better alternative? Voice commands hove potential. Polestar’s android auto voice commands are more intuitive. But why do you need a voice assistant in the car when everything is at your fingertips?

This reminds of how Porsche would sell you a 120k cayenne and then charge you for extra for the “premium package” for keyless ignition. I think I remember Mercedes would do something similar. The package has to have at least one feature that is definitely worth it.

Used cars have been crazy during the pandemic. I used to drive by a CarMax every day. At one point I thought they shut down, there were so few cars on the lot. Now the lot is completely full, more than before the pandemic

I’ve been tempted to cover my cars (not a Lucid) panoramic glass roof with acoustic foam panels. Just to see how much it affected the interior noise. I would expect a dramatic difference.

I agree that lucid has its issues and just cancelled a reservation myself. I feel like true self driving cars (Level 4+ autonomy) are still years away because they would require changes to street markings and construction before legislators will trust it. I don’t think people will be upset...

Interesting possibility. Apparently the dimples create lower drag and more lift. Would this work on EV? Imagine if Tesla came out with a dimpled paint. Immediately it would be the coolest thing ever!

If you haven’t confirmed your reservation then my understanding is that the deposit is still refundable. I cancelled mine after receiving the invitation to order but before confirming and lucid says they are giving me my deposit back in a few days.

I also cancelled my touring reservation. Would rather pay 120k for a loaded GT than 100k for a touring (I had the pre July increase pricing too)
