How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

407 EPA, 75% of that is 305. Removing 0-20% and 80%-100% for battery maintenance leaves 183, no?

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I think you hinted at it - the idea is not to hit too high or low. Too lazy to Google but what’s the logic behind not going 0 or 100%? Not that anyone should be aiming for 0% from a planning perspective but why not top off? As a theory, does anyone know if there are any built-in battery buffers...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

If going off Pure #s and not using top or bottom 20%, the range left is 183. I don’t know if that’s good or bad 😂 but I guess that’s kind of nonsense to not use the top/bottom 20% when going on longer trips, which would net around 300.

    Prove me wrong, Lucid.

Cadillac Lyriq: Where have I seen that display before?

How do I know it’s not actually three screens in a single housing? :P

    Polestar 3?

I watched some Lyriq vids and the interior is pretty sweet. Not a fan of the exterior though.

    Jon Rettinger's 6 Month Review

This is a sensible response and should be kept in mind (easier said than done). With that said, it is still a $150k car and some issues should be non-negotiable if it’s being allowed to roll off the lot. Luckily so far, Lucid hasn’t made headlines, but that’s IMO a low bar to go by. The Saudi...

    Jon Rettinger's 6 Month Review

I don’t even have my car yet and already scoffing at this. It’s one thing to not have adv auto pilot ready but another to basics like backup and turn cameras not working. This is quite disappointing and Jon IMO let them off pretty easy. Cautiously optimistic.

    Polestar 3?

It’s really wild how Tesla has sucked all the software car engineering brain power away from the rest of the industry. As strong as Apple is, they still aren’t able to wrestle away their people to build the apple car. While car manufacturers are catching up to Tesla, they feel still a distance...

    Leasing/Financing

So is the trick to reduce this risk choosing a shorter lease term?

    Polestar 3?

Is anyone having curious eyes for the Polestar 3? It's not exactly a 1:1 comparison since the PS3 is competing against the likes of the Porsche Cayenne but its design language is quite beautiful IMO. Having Swedish roots doesn't hurt either.

Air GT Driving Impressions (both 19” and 21” wheels)

Apologies I’m advance if I missed it but did you try the auto cruise control? If so, how well did it do? My BMW’s auto CC is kinda first gen generic but works. How was the “auto-pilot?” Any good?

Lucid Air Wins 2022 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX trophy.

While I feel it's unreasonable to expect every piece to be luxurious, it is reasonable to expect the car as a whole to be of high quality where it counts with the use of high quality materials. Will there be off-the-shelf parts? Sure, but let's be smart about where that goes. For what Lucid is...

Only one way to find out. Time to Only one way to find out. Time for a showroom visit. I come from a pretty low bar (2015 4 Series BMW) and pretty happy with the quality.

I have no doubt, in the bigger scheme of things, the inside is mostly amazing but I certainly feel it’s fair to criticize elements of high touch areas should meet a level of luxury standard and robustness that Lucid is touting. I certainly could care less if the glovebox wasn’t lined with...

Sitting at a gas station like a fool

In NorCal (CA), Costco gas is .50/gal cheaper. An actual difference when filling a tank. Lines are long but moves fast. What are people doing at your Costco gas lines? Having a picnic?

Any Downside to Not Plugging In At Home Every Night?

I live in a townhome where the electrician can only install a NEMA 14-50 pulling 40amps. Kinda bummed an 80amp couldn’t be installed. Can I remedy this with solar?

I sure hope that’s the case. It’s just not right for a car of this stature and price to have high touch points be so cheap. It almost makes not want
