    Latest numbers from the Sapphire run: 1.8 - 3.7 - 226

Sorry for wrong quote, the 3.7 was for 0-100. They did 1/4 mile in mid 8s. Btw, they did a lot of benchmark run against the Plaid & GT3. For the Plaid, same track got them 2.1, low 9s, and they couldn't test max speed due to tire limit.

    Latest numbers from the Sapphire run: 1.8 - 3.7 - 226

For 0-60, 1/4 mi, and max speed. These are the numbers that the team got from the track. Words is that they're pretty happy that it's approaching the same Rimac numbers. The hp "at the wheel" is around 1350. On a negative note, a lot of owners & current rsrv holders of the Air Dream and GTP...

Lucid Sapphire - Extra Throttlehouse Video

Looks like Peter isn't incorrect. Now that Tesla delivered model Y with 4680 (Austin build), the gain weight is only ....20 pounds compared to ones with 2170. It also offers zero efficiencies & charging performance gain. As a matter of fact, while weighing 20 lbs lighter, the model Y with 4680...

    Any one order the Sapphire?

I'm not going to upgrade. But I know a few folks who are tempting but waiting for more results before committing to purchase. If the Sapphire runs neck and neck with the Plaid on 0-60 and 1/4 mile, then it would be harder to make a case. But if it smacks the Plaid just as the Rimac did, then...

    Am I Being Unfair Here?

We had couple Lucid shirts that we purchased after we ordered the car at the studio. Once, I went to Costco wearing it. As I got out of my car (a Tesla), a guy from a Tesla-3 nearby looked at then walked pass me, put up a middle finger, and kept on walking. Guess he's the "true" fanboy

    Am I Being Unfair Here?

Most Tesla fanboys are low self-esteem & low EQ people.

Elon Musk says that Lucid and Rivian are tracking toward bankruptcy...

It's easy to be a manufacturing guru when everyone is facing huge supply-chain issues. Until you have to open & run your own business (or company) A lot of you guys should call up the CEO of BestBuy, to advise him on how to run biz & better prepare. Since most BestBuy stores are empty due to...

Lucid Air GT vs Mercedes EQS 580

My neighbor isnt so thrilled with his Lucid GT - most have to do with software issues (hence I defer taking mine for a bit more). But if he's about to buy an EV sedan again, he said he would still get the Lucid! Like me, he enjoys driving and has tried all EVs extensively (Porsche, EQS, Audi...

    More Software Bugs

Lucid really has to step up on the software. My neighbor complains about issues like these a lot with his Air. He went from totally thrilled with his car to now despising it. Sadly, Lucid people are more interest in talking how efficient it is, and how it has won many trophies everytime we...

How should I do to this despicable case?

I often carry a roll of heavy-duty tape in my trunk - when I see A$$hole like this (double slot parking, parking right to the edge), I write a note, and politely tape the note to the car. I'm a cheap guy, so I didn't buy an expensive tape. The cheap tape I use often leaves a messy residual...

Why did you decide for the Lucid Air vs. Model S, EQS, i7, Taycan, ...?

Tesla to SoCal is like trucks to Texas. Everyone have one (or more), and it's being used for everything: Toro, commute, Uber Eat, DoorDash, Lyft... Just about every house in our neighbor have at least one Tesla :-)

Why did you decide for the Lucid Air vs. Model S, EQS, i7, Taycan, ...?

For our family (currently owning a Tesla), after trying & testing out various EVs, we picked Lucid for the following reasons: - Range - Power & handing - Look & feel - Space - V2G capability ( we would have to spend at least $30K on home-ESS to get to what Lucid eventually offers) All other...

    Tired of Poor Quality software

Second that. Both my family and my cousin did the test drive & examed the car, and came to the same conclusion: the software is so far behind. After 2 months of owning the car, my neighbor concluded the same: a fantastic piece of hardware, but totally clunky software. And we are all SOFTWARE...
