RESOLVED What is the Chime sound after getting into the car after a few seconds

I think the SXM suggestion may be on the right track. I also never use SXM but based on the prior comments I went to the music tab and hit the SXM button. I then heard the same chime and a pop up appeared saying something like “your free trial has started, press the Listen Now button to accept...

RESOLVED What is the Chime sound after getting into the car after a few seconds

Maybe the chime indicates achievement of maximum robustness. Those who don’t hear it have some robustifying to do. 😂

RESOLVED What is the Chime sound after getting into the car after a few seconds

I’ve noticed this as well since the .42 update. It’s always within a few seconds of getting in the car. My hypotheses have been that it indicates recognition of the appropriate profile, successful loading of the profile preferences, or that the the system has completed the boot up process. But...

    New England Fall 2023 Meet-up!

Thanks @Dortreo for planning a great route. It was fun meeting everyone and enjoying a spectacular fall day.

    New England Fall 2023 Meet-up!

I got my pass as well. I left the make blank and put lucid air on the model line. I just couldn’t stomach calling this car a Tesla! Anyway, it accepted my input so must be an optional field. Look forward to meeting folks!

    Fastest EV Charging Study

Thanks for posting. Very interesting to see the data which roughly matches what I’ve experienced. I didn’t read the whole article but I’m a bit confused by the consumption numbers. Wouldn’t that depend on wheel size? I didn’t see it listed for the AGT but maybe I missed it. Also, they state...

    New England Fall 2023 Meet-up!

I was in Maine (Mt Desert Island) last week, and it was spectacular! Anyway, I’m in for the Pack Monadnock loop on Oct 1. For anyone approaching from the south, there is also an EA in Tewksbury, MA not far from Nashua.

    Software update 2.1.20

Anyone else experiencing frequent charge cycles after the 2.1.18 update? I generally keep my car plugged in at home with an 80% SOC limit. Prior to the 2.1.18 update, charging would cycle back on 1-2 times a day (or if I woke up the vehicle). Now, every couple hours charging cycles back on...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

All wheels off, rear seats down. First frame on its side, fork forward, seat to the left, down facing pedal as far rear on the bike as it goes and pointing down into the well of the trunk. Second frame laying on top, fork forward, seat to the right. Wheels in the main cabin on folded down rear...

    Driving in heavy rain

On the topic of driving in heavy rain, how much does that affect EV range? I recently took a road trip on which I expected really good efficiency based on temperature and other factors, but my efficiency was mediocre at best. It was raining heavily so I’m assumed that may have been the factor...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I got some respectable numbers today in my AGT with 19 inch wheels driving mostly highway at 70 mph. I went from Boston to Bar Harbor (295 miles) and averaged 4.0 mi/kWh. The navigation indicated I had 153 miles remaining upon arrival in Bar Harbor. Others on the forum have commented that the...

    Release Version Megathread

Agree on the HA. It may be slightly better in 2.1.10 compared to 2.1.3, but I still find it unusable. It’s a shame because I found it to be a helpful feature before the 2.1.3/10 updates. That said, the ACC works well and is more important to me than lane centering. Further, the other updates in...

    OTA 2.1.2 / 2.1.3

I updated to 2.1.3 a few days ago. Many great new features. Love the passive lock options and Nav updates. But, I have to agree with previous comments about HA. It seemed like a good idea, but I found the car to feel unstable in HA, moving side into side, albeit within the lane. It seemed more...

Passenger door handle broken / grinding

Same happened to me recently but before the most recent software update. Was a rear door with the same grinding noise and no pop out. It was mechanical and Service replaced the mechanism with a quick 1 day turnaround. All good now. Strangely that door rarely gets used so not sure why that was...

Wired CarPlay cuts in and out?

It’s not just you. I have the same issue. On a periodic basis the car play cuts out and then restarts. Never had an issue with with same wire on another car.

    Post Realistic Mileage Here….

It’s been well stated by others, but I want to add another example that EPA range is possible in the real world. I admit I was a skeptic given my lifetime average of 3.2 mi/kWh, but as others have stated, It’s just highly dependent on temperature and driving style. I recently drove my AGT (19...

    Subtle improvements lately

I also felt that the regen braking mellowed out a bit when getting close to a stop. It came to my attention when pulling into my garage and had a momentary panic as the car rolled further than expected. Now I’ve recalibrated and think it results in a smoother drive.

Lidar Blocked whenever it rains - what does the Lidar do?

I also get the LiDAR blocked warning sometimes. Very common when snowing, and it is always associated with snow/ice caked on the sensor. I have only occasionally had it happen with rain. When it does happen with rain, it seems to be associated with a dirty sensor from road grime that gets...

[Edmunds] TESTED: 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring Misses EPA Range by Nearly 80 Miles

Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see specification of the wheel size on the Edmonds test car. Presumably 19 inch? I’ve been getting 3.0 mi/kWh on 19 inch wheels during the winter (20-45 degrees F) but I’ve gotten as much as 4.0 mi/kWh in the spring and fall and 3.6 mi/kWh in summer.
