    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

Thanks for sharing your experience & thoughts. Highly doubt they sold the vehicle in the display... probably the vehicle was broken, and covered it up + with excuses San Diego, CA in-store vehicles were wide-open to try all the features.... except driving. lol 99% of the time I'll be driving...

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

Congrats on finding the vehicle of your dreams. Yes... There are ongoing "on-site" $3k discounts for existing inventories. (GT trim level if I remember correctly) Btw, it's "Fathom Blue". ;)

    Lucid Air or BMW i5

The latest i5 review by SavageGeese changed my mind about the i5 consideration as an alternative to Air.

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

With all the factory expansion videos and announcements... and reducing the production #s for 2024... I figured Lucid would be more nimble/faster to put the ordered spec into the factory system... Maybe I assumed too much.

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

I'm not asking for any sympathy. I know what I want and am willing to wait for it. I'm just baffled by Lucid's "ordering" process, which doesn't seem to have a clear indication of when it can be submitted/planned/scheduled to build.

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

I'm willing to wait. I waited for the Audi S5 for 5 months before building it to my specifications. The difference is that the Audi dealer submitted my order to the factory in Ingolstadt, Germany, and provided me with the status after making the deposit. In contrast, the Lucid sales advisor is...

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

Again, this defeats the purpose of the "ordering" process. Asking 1 time to "consider" other existing inventory is one thing. Continuing to ask me to "reconsider" other available cars on a weekly basis that don't match what I have "ordered" is another.

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

What annoys me the most at this stage is that they actually asked/suggested I lower my option level from my original design to match the existing inventory options. ex. 20-way position -> 12-way position.

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

Assuming you've ordered back in 2021 or 2022, where there was a global shortage of parts... It's understandable to wait a long time. But this is 2024.. It's not like they're still going through chip/part shortages.

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

I'm glad you got what you wanted. I went with the "Order" process, and they don't seem to intend to build what I've submitted. No existing or upcoming inventories match what I've built and submitted a month ago.

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

Well, maybe they should get rid of "Order" on their website and rather display "Search Inventory" if their sales method is not exactly order-to-produce. I'm not sure why they would make me go through the design-my-car and order process if they're going to make me search the inventory and...

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

So... It's almost been a month, and 1. I've been getting inquiries from the sales advisor to see if I'd be interested in getting existing inventories that closely match color/options but not at 100% 2. It doesn't seem like they have a method of adding/processing my specific build into the...

Mouthful! lol. Lucid better be consistent with their vehicle naming nomenclature... 😆

Lucid Motors is stuck in a fight over the name of its Gravity SUV

https://gravitymobility.com/press-room Judging by the website, it looks like they've started the venture - possibly registered the name trademark as early as 2021. "Ocean" is taken by Fisker... (btw, why "Pear"???) Kia uses "Wind" for their trim tier.... Perhaps Lucid might have to get a bit...

I really do hope that this "The new solo tier will include Dolby Atmos, HiRes FLAC and lossless audio for over 100 million songs. " is true. Engadget
