EA worked for me (sort of)

Just got back from a 1,500 mile road trip from Colorado to El Paso Texas in my AGT. Was a little worried, because there are only about 3 EA chargers between here and there, and those are literally the only fast chargers available. Nevertheless, I had zero problems with any of the EA chargers as...

Lucid still needs to get known

Agree that most people have never even heard of the brand, but today I had an experience that made me think that it's getting a little better known among the car crowd: I just purchased a used 2021 Macan to replace an older Jaguar F-Pace (turbo blew up about 30 minutes out of warranty, and I...

Just got back from a long road trip, and had the exact same problem with the Pilot Panel (only buttons working were the bottom row- car, climate and settings). Tried the profile-switching tip, and it worked great. Thanks!

    Owner's Manual Questions

Car was delivered in October, and included a manual. Only time I looked at it was when the tow truck was loading it up to head to service (minor trim stuff). It was already outdated less than 2 weeks after delivery (there used to be a 'tow truck setting' or something. Now you just put it into N)

Why So Many Negative Forum Posts? I've Been a Very Happy Customer.

AGT, 4,500 miles. Echoing the sentiments of this self-selected group- best car (by far) that i've ever owned. It's pretty close to ideal, really- power, handling, comfort, panache, and the not-to-be-ignored coolness factor. It's not perfect- not sure any car is- but it's pretty close. I was...

    Hunting wild Lucid Airs

Since putting in my deposit in November 2021, I've never seen another Lucid- anywhere (except the studio). This includes several trips across the country, to several cities, and lots of road trips- until yesterday! Was in Breckenridge (well, Dillon, actually) at the EA charger (which worked just...

    No need to reset TPMS

As promised- Got my tires swapped out today, and no need to reset TPMS. BTW- it's about 5 degrees outside, roads are snowy and very icy, and the car drives like a champ. (though I did manage to lose a little traction in sprint mode- just for the sake of research)

Be careful relying on the backup camera...

Again, that was the title for the post- just be careful when relying on the backup/overhead camera view- it's not entirely reliable, just by itself. In the same way that you have to keep your eye on the road when using DDP, you need to use all the tools you have when you're backing up.

Be careful relying on the backup camera...

Well, that was our problem- no indication (either visually with the 'line' or inches) that there was any obstruction. BTW- Lucid reached out to me via DM here.... see if that results in anything

    No need to reset TPMS

And a side note- the stock all-seasons have done very very well so far this winter, through several snow storms and cold temps (below 0). Still, wanted to be prepared for trips to the mountains.

    No need to reset TPMS

So I just received (from Lucid) a set of Pirelli Sottozero 19" snow tires. Having followed this thread since it started, I wanted to make sure about the TPMS- I asked the local techs (who I like and trust a lot) and they told me unequivocally that there was no need to reset the TPMS since I'm...

Be careful relying on the backup camera...

Maybe, but it was one day out of a wash, driven a few miles on some slushy roads. If they're that sensitive to normal road crud, not sure how reliable they're going to be.

Be careful relying on the backup camera...

I suppose, but the cameras aren't what determine the distance to the obstacle, right? I'd have thought that some of the sensors would have seen it.

Be careful relying on the backup camera...

We've had the car since October, and other than the same software glitches that everyone else has dealt with, the car has been excellent. But.. we had an interesting thing happen yesterday. My wife was backing into a spot (her reserved spot at her office) as she does every day. She's gotten used...

Emergency response video for Lucid from Energy Security Agency

This was wild- who knew that first responders had to deal with so much STUFF (high kinetic loading of the B pillars??? battery cylinders can become projectiles???? cut the wrong wire and you get zapped???) With the growth of EVs on the road, we've got a new paradigm for all these folks- in the...

    Colorado

Well that'll be a nice Christmas present. And to some earlier queries about getting a permanent service center in the Denver area- I've have a lot of communication recently with the techs in Englewood (see my posts in other threads). There are 2 techs working out of a body shop in Englewood that...

    Pilot Panel Problem

Had a ery similar issue beginning yesterday- Pilot Panel was blank. Car drove fine, but not having heat controls was annoying. This morning ,went out to the car to see if it had changed overnight, but no joy. Weirdly- the app showed "vehicle offline' which was problematic, to say the least...
