Real world mileage: boston to NYC

Try cruise control. I get 2.5-2.7 when handling it myself, and 2.9-3.1 on a DE-P when using cruise control (this is with climate, massage seats, etc, etc, on) Regen is a very big part of EV driving to get the best efficiency. To be fair, the same exact conditions impact gas cars, its just not...

P variant of Grand Touring with over 1,000hp?

Correct, Porsches can easily have 100K+ between bottom and top trims.

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

Can we edit to put the Mi/kwh in parenthesis?

P variant of Grand Touring with over 1,000hp?

Hah, you can hit 250K maxing out a Taycan ;)

P variant of Grand Touring with over 1,000hp?

Its definitely hardware. Likely the same hardware as the DE as the range is nearly identical https://electrek.co/2022/04/12/lucid-announces-performance-version-of-air-grand-touring-with-446-mile-range-and-1050-horsepower/

Begin like you are programming a new homelink connection. On the first screen after you enter the name for the connection, there is a button that says to press it to program with "D-Mode". I think that is what this is for, but I could always be wrong.

I'll edit the leading post to make the context more clear :). Its not a problem. Just hoping you don't notice the tangent @hydbob and I got off to in the dashcam thread 🙃

P variant of Grand Touring with over 1,000hp?

My guess is 1,000 HP at the same price point as the DE was or maybe 10K lower. If it hits 1,100 AND is cheaper than the DE, I'm going to be really annoyed. yes, I expect the DE to be eclipsed at some point, but not within a couple of months...

    Carbon fiber rims

I'm wondering how much this would impact range. Anyone know how much the DE wheels or any of the other wheels weigh?

@mnewber1 did you split the thread? My leading post seems to have no context :)

Those are also totally different teams :) You need people with machine learning skillsets for Highway Assist. You don't need that skillset for Dashcam/Sentry

Totally different skillsets and recruitment pipelines. If there is no cash problem, one should not impact the other

    1. Yes 2. I assume it would be absurdly expensive, Porsche is not known for reasonable repair prices 3. After a week we got another Taycan for a loaner. 100% base 4S, which is an odd configuration since it’s missing a bunch of normal features on cars in this price range. (And holy crap, the base...

High voltage heater apparently. Went to turn on the car a few weeks ago and it wouldn’t move, gave an electronics error. Dealer told us it’s a “restricted” part and only orderable with approvals and confirmation the car is inoperable. Quick googling shows it can be 5-7 weeks to get the part...

We should also ignore the fact that my Taycan had to be towed to the shop on 3/22 and is now inoperable with no end in shape while they wait for a part and it is fully inoperable…(20 days so far)

There is a legacy mode when connecting your garage door. There was a button to tell it to use static codes and not Homelink.

    Aero inserts on 21 rims

Chris actually checked vehicles on the lot that had not yet been driven. They don’t have the damage. Interestingly enough: the cars ship without the covers, then they are installed at the showroom. @borski : you can be sure I will be make it known if there is a problem eventually :)

And I got my first flat.

Sometimes those types of warranties have “special” considerations when they come with a vehicle(retail vs OEM). I wouldn’t rely on the warranty info on Pirelli’s site until we have it confirmed it is the exact same (unless I missed this and it’s already done)

EDIT: Split from another thread. Context is chatting about the dashcam functionality and hiring challenges. I’m actually surprised we don’t have one yet. Rivian has one and they should be roughly where Lucid is in terms of OS development
