    Road trip update

Finally home tonight after 2 weeks of driving the Lucid for 3400 miles, all without a hitch (well, a small one this AM, which I'll describe shortly). For those who have had issues with the car, my sympathies, but honestly the only thing I had to fear on this trip were flying rocks and bugs...

    Road trip update

Tripping out in my Lucid GT across the mid west & south East, from MN to Arlington to Asheville I’ve had no issues so far over 2k miles…charging at EA has been a breeze and averaging 3.4 in range. This morning, in Asheville, N.C. I saw my first Lucid in the wild - she pulled up next to me while...

Just an FYI on the tire inflator

Thanks for correcting my misinformation! I didn’t look close enough 😕 One interesting tidbit (difference with the Tesla tire repair) is that the Lucid fix a flat canister is rated at 65 mph vs 50 for the Tesla.

    Give Kudos to Lucid

Want to give a big shout out to Dixon at the Tyson's Corner studio in Virginia...stopped by while on my road trip from Saint Paul, MN, and chatted him up on a number of subjects - he was generous with his time, and gave me some great tips. Showed how the tow hook should be used Showed me where...

Tire inflator kit requires extension cord for 12v

Yes, you’re right, the Lucid tire sealant canister I bought has a higher speed rating than the Tesla. Otherwise looks to be the same product. Strange that it has such a short cord…still looking for a solution. 2k + road trip starts tomorrow!

Tire inflator kit requires extension cord for 12v

I’m using what I’m almost certain is the identical tire inflator / flat repair kit from Lucid (mine was originally from Tesla), but the 12v cord is too short to reach anything but the right rear tire. So, I’m checking for extension cords made for 12v outlets but not clear what gauge is...

    12V Failure

Very informative. I guess to take it to the next level we'd look for an explanation of how to install a monitor on Lucid's 12v battery...sitting behind the right rear wheel well under a cover it's not easily accessible, or is it? I also understand the 10 minute lead time to make you aware of its...

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

Your solution for the "easy exit" merits some attention, and I will try it when I get back from my trip. Has nnyone else done this with success?

Best Practices in Charging and Efficiency

I don’t think the PG&E usage info would be lost by your solar use - should be able to track KWh by day on their site when you sign into your account. I recall doing this when investigating solar with Tesla (bailed when we learned their calculations were bogus - not enough sun at our place).

Things you wished you asked on delivery...

Went well, though didn’t really get thru checklist n the 90 mins we had. Betting it is Ed that comes but can’t be sure. He’s good. My only advice is don’t spend too much time on things you can learn later.

    Car doors

I’m 63 and have had both hips replaced & agree there is a challenge. I hate to be beaten by anything that tells me I’m old so I’ve learned the sit & duck method now…something to practice! You’ll feel better not succumbing to the cars right fit!

    Sapphire Reveal

I'd love to know the Saphire color code so we can get it wrapped in that look, which I do find appealing...plus get access to a way to buy the wheels. Spend $10k and save $90k for essentially same car. No need for that HP.

What does Drive Drive do today? (not Pro)

You may not consider this part of Dream Drive Pro, but in a very crowded parking lot today the sensors kicked in and the car went full stop when a pedestrian walked right behind me. I was confused because I actually thought I hit something, but glad it took over.

    Disappointing Surreal Sound Pro

Not sure. There has been some critics but most seem to like them. There is a clear qualittative difference depending on your source (Amazon/Tidal/Bluetooth). What aspect is not up to par for you? For me I find that the sound with HiFi Tidal is exceptional, with the only drawback (mentioned in a...

    Where is Dream Drive ?

I do like magic shows, and appreciate the explanation of how the auto park works. I’ll check it out when I’m in a familiar setting to see…just not sure “select the rotation button” choice on the fly is the best way to experience - or sell - the auto park feature. Had a bad experience scraping my...
