Can I verify that Surreal Sound Pro was installed

I have the same question. We have the extra speakers but don't use Tidal. I understand that Apple IOS 18 has made changes to CarPlay so that Atmos songs will be delivered via CP as well but I can't see any setting or indication. Has anyone tried this?

    Pure vs grand touring

The car is lighter but very little of the weight difference is actually in the front. The front motor is only 68lbs from what I recall (so with driveshafts expect maybe 100lbs) and the majority is in the missing battery cells which are located in the rear footwell. So that is centered weight…

    Roof Cross Bars

They are only plastic and just pop out when you pull them towards you. Likewise, they snap back in into two little sockets. I am considering the cross bars as well but as stated in several threads would only have Lucid install them as there is a risk of cracking the glass roof.

    Software Versioning Explained

Well, this is how software revisioned wether it’s a Lucid or an iPhone. The process is always the same. Major version is the first number. Minor version is the second number The batch version is the third number. Edit: somebody beat me to it 😉

Anybody had problems with "Brake light malfunction"?

I had a brake light malfunction message flashing but went away before I could take a pic. Did a quick test but all seemed to work. There was a little triangle in the lower part of the main screen but that also went away after restart. Loose cable? or just a gremlin?

Trying to find the right roof box -has anyone tried?

We are doing some travel and am considering a roof box to have more space for pets in the car. I like the Lucid crossbars and would have them installed by Lucid (Touring with Glass roof) but I want to make sure that the roof box is a good fit (mounts, noise, etc.) Since Lucid never moved...

    Lucid Air Roof Box

I know it’s an ancient thread but I am looking for a roof box, like this or a Thule. Not seeing anything on their website. Any recommendations?

    Retrofit DreamDrive Premium

I remember looking at a Touring that didn’t have Premium and was told “no problem”. The service center can easily add the cameras & modules. This was in Germany but I have a feeling that due to the low production volume (100 cars a year) a lot of cars will be retrofitted to meet an order spec...

    Hello from Germany

That is correct. I spoke to Lucid in Munich and they said that the delays due to the country-specific customizations required. But since the version is 4 months behind, I assume that this may be the timing for catching up. One rant here : The one thing that is really annoying is the speed limit...

    Hello from Germany

I think they have at least 5 service trucks, so the mobile service should come to you for whatever they can’t do online.

    Hello from Germany

The 2.2.10 is 4 months old, so I would suspect about that timeframe for the update...

    Hello from Germany

Lucid annual sales in Europe have been 100 units a year. Makes it challenging but the service center in Munich has a great setup and a fair amount of service techs. Great crew!

Taycan Turbo GT goes 0-60 in 1.9, beating Lucid Air Sapphire

Tires make a significant difference and easily account for .02 seconds to 60 and essentially the Porsche is still the slower car. Quarter mile and trap speed are more relevant as is 60-130. I have not seen any Nurburgring times for the Lucid but the Sapphire has done well at VIR but...

High Beam Assist: Improved Target Detection

Right. As a result, cars in the US have inferior headlights :( That said, it's easy to code the headlights of the German Cars (since 2014 or so) to enable all intelligent adaptive beam functions since the actual hardware has been in these cars all along, whether its Matrix, Laser or digital.

High Beam Assist: Improved Target Detection

Please keep in mind that even Matrix and Digital headlights or other intelligent headlights had to be dumbed down aka disabled in the US, so all these cool videos of what these headlights could do was not available here. The DOT just changed their regulations in 2022 to allow them but even until...

Savage Geese: Long term Air review

Retrofitting the processor is great news. More interesting is eliminating the front motor whine via different motor mounts (rather than insulation). If that can be updated as well it would be a huge plus.

5.0 miles/kWh: Say Hello to the World's Most Efficient Car

So the question is to wait for the latest model instead of grabbing a deal for a stock car? Wonder of how quantity these improvements. The electronics seem to be a huge value-add despite their minimal cost/spec impact while the heat pump (Touring model) will be significant, but only for part of...

Do you think Lucid will make cheap cars?

I am not sure why people always believe that a manufacturer needs to cater to their budget. There is no need for a niche manufacturer like Lucid to offer cars in your price segment, at least not at this time. As for people hating on Tesla, I don't see that happening here. Tesla's do have...

    Question on Sapphire pricing

I should mention that I am not in the market for Sapphire for the simple reason that we only lease cars. The Sapphire has lease rates that make zero sense unless somebody wants to spend $200k for a 36 months lease (seeing what is offered in the US). But when it comes to Lucid in Germany I am...
