Brief review of software version 2.1.7 vs 2.0.71 for lengthy road trips

@hydbob My solar panel ‘install’ was basically me finding the largest single panel that could fit on the back shelf behind the rear seat headrests and then connecting it to a power bank designed to also act as a solar generator via a simple DC adapter cord. Minimal real install required lol...

Brief review of software version 2.1.7 vs 2.0.71 for lengthy road trips

On my most recent trip between San Diego and Vancouver, I drove to San Diego on 2.0.71 and drove back to Vancouver on 2.1.7. It’s about 1400 miles each way. Noticed a few things: 1. The native nav route planning in regards to remaining charge estimates and charging stops is much much better...

How to take care of Lucid Leather

I find this handy little compressed air capsule to be great for keeping the perforated leather clean: https://hototools.com/products/compressed-air-capsule Also picked up their electric air inflator which also works great.

    Amazing Canada Road Trip

Agreed. Excellent road trip car. I’ve taken the car many times from San Diego to Vancouver. 25k+ miles on it now. As much a pleasure to drive now as it was when new. The software has improved by leaps and bounds compared to the early days including the native nav which is now much better at...

What are you replacing your 21" Pirelli tires with?

Are the ‘custom’ 20” and 21” PS 4S made specially for the sapphire for general sale? Could they be used on other lucid models?

    Window tinting options

Hi Joe! Sorry for the delayed reply. I went to Pure Design www.puredesignsd.com. Mehdi is great, highly recommend. I had all the work on my car done there.

Took delivery on Sat... Here are my thoughts

For sound quality, is that previous problem with the front woofers fixed in all current models? That makes a huge difference especially when listening to music in the front seats.

    DD Versions, Trial, and Upgrades

Regarding atmos, you can use the built in Amazon music to play atmos tracks by voice commanding it e.g. ‘Alexa play music in Dolby atmos’ or something along those lines. It’s tedious and no actual Amazon music dedicated interface on the car itself but if you wanted to listen to some atmos tracks...

    Highway Assist

Having HA is immensely better than not having it while on road trips of any significant length. And with OTA updates, it’s improved so now my only issue with it is that it still can’t handle sharper curves at moderate speeds. And I think it performs worse in the dark but that could just be my...

    Rim Repair

My minorly bent rim could not be repaired, but I think that’s because it was a forged one piece. Not sure about repairs on the ORM wheels but presumably they can just replace the part of the wheel that’s broken? Dunno if the cost just makes it so that you have to buy a new one anyways 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Battery Degradation After 1 Year

Looking forward to hearing how that goes for you. I do San Diego to Vancouver frequently and can’t imagine doing that in an EV without the same charging capabilities and range of the AGT 🤔

    Battery Degradation After 1 Year

Hopefully! I have some extra mileage on mine and my charging is a mixture of mostly DC fast charging and ultra slow trickle charging.

    Lucid Air Sapphire wheel specs?

The GT OEM 21in wheels are definitely cast.

Lucid versus BMW! Hagerty U Drag!

Which the AGT does incredibly well 😁. Still impressed by the near instant shift from 75 to 100 regardless of slope even when on smooth mode.

    Stealth

That’s true. Socal wrap prices bring a tear to my eye. But you’d have to do PPF anyways on a nude stealth if you wanted the protection. So my point was instead of paying for the stealth and then paying for the PPF/wrap separately, one could conceivably just do the PPF and select trim wrappings...

    Rim Rash Protection?

Thanks! Yeah I did see @CLTGT’s post. I refinish my rims and then they get immediately scratched again lol Maybe there’s a rim protector that doesn’t have the weight limitation?
