    Philly area

I’m in the burbs of Reading. I agree. Have yet to see a Lucid in the wild.

    First Road Trip

I thought about getting a Tesla tap, but not sure if it’ll be necessary for much longer, given the increasing numbers of non-Tesla EVs and charging options. The Corning charge was far from necessary. But yes, the Tesla charger with the J1772 plug charged just fine.

    First Road Trip

Finally got a chance to test our AGT’s legs on a trip to the Finger Lakes. The week leading up to it was a bit stressful. My wife clipped a mailbox, shattering the right side mirror (in her defense, the oncoming car was close to us and the mailbox door was open). Scrambled to get it repaired...

Electrify America is enraging EV owners

Just had my 3rd experience with EA. My 1st was shortly after the vehicle arrived, just to insure it worked. Philadelphia Premium Outlets on 422. Just charged for 5 min, pulling 70kw/hr (I forget the charger rating). The second was with my Rivian, after a charging stop at EVGo failed. 150kw...

So, you know how the rear doors have that sharp point?

My wife has scratched herself several times, but no blood yet. Love the look of the car, but that detail might have needed some additional thought.

    Touring Headrest Hardware/software

My biggest complaint with my Rivian R1S is its lack of adjustable headrests. They’re positioned too far front for my posture and irritating on long drives. I’ve contacted Rivian and been refused details on how to tear down the headrest to adjust them. Frustrating. Eventually, I’m going to use an...

    Jack Puck

I looked but haven’t found an answer to this. My 3 ton scissor jack has a fitting on top for a pinch rail. I’m not liking the security of it against the jack point, with its circular depression. Has anyone found low profile pucks that might work?

Jumped right out in front of us!

Waiting to hear from Tyler in mobile service. Except for the clear plastic window in front, the housing is intact, wires are there and camera works so I’m hoping it’s an quick easy fix…

Jumped right out in front of us!

So…yesterday, we were traveling on a small backroad that leads into the back of my neighborhood after a nice dinner. My wife was driving since I had cataract surgery that morning. She moves a bit right due to an oncoming car. I’m thinking…”We’re awfully close to those mailboxes” but what do I...

    Gravity Launch

I do miss the fast charging ability of the Air in my R1S. My AGT basically charges at twice the rate. As to interior room, we did a golf trip recently carrying 4 guys (2 of them…shall we say “big boned”), 5 bags of clubs and associated luggage for a 3 day stay without problems.

    Gravity Launch

I’ve had my R1S for over 2 mo. and I’m pretty tickled with it. Nice fit and finish, software perhaps even more sorted out than Lucid presently (car wash mode, gear guard and trip cameras…just no CarPlay) and plenty of straight line speed. The ride is a bit “trucky” and you obviously can’t throw...

    OTA 2.1.2 / 2.1.3

Sure, it's not a statistically significant sample, but I can extrapolate...the government does when they audit my medical services claims. 😅

    OTA 2.1.2 / 2.1.3

So, the general consensus is few owners, other than the test group, have received 2.1.2 yet?

NACS (Tesla adapter) versus CCS Megathread

I seldom fast charge, but to my understanding…due to the need to up-convert because of our 900v architecture , Tesla chargers will only deliver ~50kw charging to a Lucid. I routinely see folks here posting speeds of 150-200kw from current CCS chargers so you better plan on lunch, shopping and a...

    Soft Reset Procedures

Agree. I had to drop my Rivian off for an AC issue and was rewarded with a BMW X2 for the 3+ hr drive home from Brooklyn. In addition to it’s jittery handling, horribly modulated gas and brake pedals and kicking me in the ass with every road irregularity, I keep hopping out and leaving it “on”...

I may have posted this before…but I kinda like it!

    Frunk mishap

Had a close call today. I was preparing to return from a weekend trip. Stashed my golf clubs and my wife’s very overstuffed weekend bag in the trunk. Put my slightly full bag in the frunk. Held the fob button and it started to close. Thought it had latched but when I looked down, I saw a slight...

    Rivian purchase

I only placed my deposit Aug ‘22, so didn’t get early pricing. Got tired of waiting after 9 mo. and bought a “used” El Cap Granite LE from someone who decided to flip theirs. Only 545 miles on it. Basically paid current pricing, given the color, wheel (22s), and PPF upgrades. And I found $600...

    Steering Wheel Button Issue

Those buttons are one of my least favorite things about the car. At least 33.3% of the time, I manage to pause the music rather than turn the volume up a smidge. I definitely prefer the steering wheel controls on my Rivian. Rubberized barrels you can also depress to activate a function. Haven’t...

There’s gotta be some matte clear adhesive film that could be applied. First one to post a link wins!
