I think the general consensus is that there has been no change to the current policy. Plates will continue to be issued for fully alternative fueled vehicles. A couple years ago they stopped allowing hybrid cars to get these plates but those that already had them were grandfathered in. Should...

I think I’m ready for next road trip

Do not use that adapter. I bought the same one for my vacation rental, and it will pop the circuit breaker as a best case. For me, it happened within 3 minutes. My bigger fear is that it doesn't trip the breaker and just sets the house on fire instead. There are a couple photos in the reviews on...

    DFW Area Lucid Tinting

One thing I've started noticing (not all the time), but occasionally enough is around when the air doesn't seem to be coming out of the vents as forcefully as I'm used to. The general symptoms are that the fan noise sounds like it cranking but the air flow seems pretty week out of the vents...

    Vampire Drain

I'm sure a few of us have learned what impact their driving style will have. My point in posting was not that I'm getting more miles. The point is what is causing it to go up. And correspondingly is this real gain or I now need to relearn my driving style impact because they added more miles but...

    Vampire Drain

Not sure about the drain, but my 80% charge mileage is now showing about 10-15 more miles of range than prior to the update. Not sure if it has actually increased my range in reality, but it was a nice bonus.

    Arizona

Agreed on the previous year being better, but in doing the calculation of what this year versus next year would be, I think there's about a $2300 difference. Also, I think they did call out that changing the title after paying off a car loan would not cause the discount to go away.

    Arizona

Actually, in looking at the DOT site, I think you retain the tax rate you had when you bought the car, so that should get grandfathered in. As for HOVs, I couldn't find anything there. Is it possible that someone is confusing the 2021 phase out of hybrid vehicles? Seems like that would be front...

Wow...assuming that those who already have a plate would be grandfathered in. But altering the registration fee structure I guess would apply to everyone. Kind of sucks.

Zero Run to Vegas - 9/30/22

I'm sure with all of the AZ & CA owners, we could organize a meetup in Vegas pretty easily. That does sound like fun.

    Rant Regarding Windshield Cracks

You know, I'm actually pretty proactive these days. The problem is that literally any car can get a rock stuck in the tread. In my case on Saturday, it was a Mercedes SUV going over sand at 40 mph. And I definitely know that AZ is a problem overall. The issue I have is that the actual cracks on...

    Rant Regarding Windshield Cracks

Hopefully my misfortune today didn't rub off on you. I can't remember ever having a crack in my windshield let alone replacing one until I moved to AZ.

    Rant Regarding Windshield Cracks

I'd definitely opt for that were it an option. Or maybe Lucid could figure out how to do repairs. I told the SC that I'd be a guinea pig for it if they wanted to give it a shot.

    Rant Regarding Windshield Cracks

There was definitely a limit. Didn't know that until they dropped me a week or so ago. I guess any 5 claims in a 36 month period will trigger this. There's no deductible, but do it enough, and they say goodbye. Fortunately, the policy isn't up until March, but man, very annoying.

    Rant Regarding Windshield Cracks

So I'll start this post off by saying that I am cursed when it comes to windshields. Having had my Jeep for about 2.5 years, I have had to replace my windshield no fewer than 7 times (and the newest one is currently cracked). While I thought that this bad luck was related to the Jeep windshield...

    What is your lowest SOC?

So along those lines, if you do happen to run out of charge, is it a tow (assuming yes) or do they come out with some awesome generator and add "a couple gallons" to get you on your way? I don't intend to find out myself, but curious.

60 amp circuit on NEMA 14-50

I don't believe there is that setting. Do Tesla's have it?

60 amp circuit on NEMA 14-50

We have a vacation rental in Payson, and our laundry room is off of the garage, so the idea was that I would use that outlet to charge the car when up there. When I took it up the first time, I discovered that my dryer was on a 3-prong outlet (10-30P I think). So I looked for an adapter and...

    What is your lowest SOC?

Interesting question...does anyone know if any EVs when showing 0% may actually have a few % more remaining (similar to some ICE vehicles when it comes to gas)? Just curious if you could get like 5-10 more mile depending on conditions because there's a bit of a reserve.

    Cup Phone?

I see you have front seat passengers who like to leave empty water bottles in the car as well ;).

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

Can definitely attest to that. Was taking someone for a ride. He sat in the front on the ride out. When getting in the back, he hit his head. He's probably 5'6". Once he was in, he actually loved the view out of the rooftop glass and windshield. Interestingly, my 6'5" friend who had crammed...
