Lucid says you should leave it plugged in, and I do for the most part. I've recently had some scheduled charging issues with my Grizzl-e where once the charging time starts (midnight) it doesn't initiate. I thought it was the car, but it turns out it isn't and it may be an issue with the...
Overnight temps this time of year are in the low 50’s. I haven’t been watching drain super closely as I plug it in most nights, but will leave it unplugged tonight and see what I get.
Very well put.
I’d put my money on:
A dual screen implementation from Apple where there is (a) a primary control screen and (b) the secondary display with touch interaction. This is different from now where the second screen is only for use in the gauge cluster.
The new dual screen would allow...
It does, but not many cars have it (VW Atlas Cross Sport being one of them). The second screen functions as a display and is not user interactive, but I believe Apple plans to change this soon.
I’m in a similar boat but with the Max Pack. My wife decided she wanted to keep the ocean coast interior and biggest battery, so delivery isn’t until Q3/Q4 2023. Much as I’d like to go all EV sooner, it’s her car and we’re in no rush. Also means they’ll hopefully work out a lot more bugs between...
Even if I could sell it, I’d be back down to one car and not driving the best car I’ve ever owned. I’m happy trading a small near term gain for a much more substantial long term quality of life gain.
For me and the plaid it also has to have a vastly better suspension. I hate the ride on it on any wheels - it crashes over bumps, is unsettled on turns and just doesn’t inspire confidence.
For the Taycan I also consider it far too cramped inside. Even the Cross Turismo has too little rear...
No I regrets per se, but a few things after just under a month of ownership to note:
I’d swear earlier pre-production cars had slightly longer steering wheel column extension. Mine is not as far as I’d like, mainly because the race car driver in me likes it ridiculously close. It won’t matter...
Here’s a typical days driving for me, with a lot of freeway and up/down. No ACC and very little traffic, but a few steep grades (hwy 92) and rolling hills (280). I’m on the 19” wheels and was going usually >75mph with the flow of traffic.
If the lights are dim then you can use your finger to adjust the brightness on the theme screen - move your finger clockwise/counter-clockwise with the circle to adjust.
Well put. It’s easy to get into the minutiae but really it’s about enjoying the sound you like. I’m a fanatic for imaging and dynamics with very broad taste in music - classical to acoustic to rock to Japanese hip hop to video game soundtracks. That’s me though and others will have different tastes.
I’m 6’3” so pretty close in build. It’s the race car driver in me that likes the wheel closer. Most people will be totally fine.
Also, you’ll be quite surprised that even all the way back there’s still a lot of legroom. Very comfortable for us tall/tanky folks.
