Why is the Pure RWD so much lighter?

I'm sure the glass roof is heavy, but a metal roof is standard on both the Touring and the Pure (and optional on both).

Why is the Pure RWD so much lighter?

Interesting, I wasn't aware . . . Except for the motor(s) and battery, aren't the standard and optional equipment items on the Pure and Touring identical for 2024? If so, surely the curb weights would be stated with the same configurations. Interesting, what are the other Sapphire items on...

Why is the Pure RWD so much lighter?

According to Lucid, the curb weights of the 2024 Air Pure and Touring are 4,564 and 4,988 pounds, respectively. I'm trying to understand why there is a weight difference of 424 pounds. The differences of which I am aware between the models are (1) the front motor and (2) the battery pack. But...

New (again) Lucid Pure owner in San Antonio

How do you find the driving experience differs between the AWD and RWD Pures?

    Rodeo Drive - Concourse d'Elegance Sunday June16 10A-4P

For those on the fence about this, I'll report that this is a really nice concours. My wife and I have been the last 3 years and there has always a nice mix of old and new interesting, high-end cars.

A little trip into the mountains

Oh, for others' trip planning reference, driving, ahem . . . briskly and gaining 6,000 feet in (net) elevation, we got 2.8 miles/kWh. Better than I expected!

A little trip into the mountains

We took the fun route and both it and the car were great! 6 miles of freeway and 125 miles of mountain roads sure beats 75 miles of freeway and 17 miles of mountain roads!

A little trip into the mountains

Yup, I know the roads through Wrightwood well, so I know what I'm getting us into. We'll have no kids and my wife is a very good sport about brisk driving on windy roads, so I'm looking forward to this!

A little trip into the mountains

My wife and I are going to spend a few days at Big Bear Lake in the mountains east of LA. It'll be our first driving trip with our Pure RWD. Google Maps suggests something like this. That route would probably be most efficient, but this route looks a lot more fun. We shall take the long, fun...

Air credit if 3750 is now active

Are you sure about that? I see lease quotes comparable to what I saw at the first of June, which are just a bit higher than I got in late May. What did change recently is that the lease calculator now defaults to not showing taxes and fees. Here is an example when I toggle the taxes and fees on:

RESOLVED Can't turn off stability control on RWD Pure

Yep, when I test-drove a Pure RWD in early May, Stability Control was always on full. But when I took delivery of my Pure RWD (running 2.2.2) in late May, I had full, partial, and off available in the drive settings. As seems to be the case with the other variants, Stability Control may only be...

    Greenwich concours

Maybe Lucid is loosening up? The Gravity on display at last week's Pasadena grand opening was open and could be touched, but one is not allowed to sit in them (which I discovered when I did just that 🫢).

    Review of sapphire by MKB

A little anecdote related to the original topic of this thread: I was chatting with Peter Rawlinson yesterday evening at the grand opening celebration for Lucid's Pasadena studio. He told me about MKB's review; he had obviously watched the whole thing and was (understandably) visibly thrilled...

(bug?) two songs play at the same time

In the two days I've had my 2024 Pure (with SSP), I've had this issue twice. First time, I was using Spotify and the radio played uncontrollably on top of it; I did a logo reset, which solved the problem temporarily. Yesterday, I had exactly the same problem with the radio playing on top of...

Wheel covers vs lug covers/center caps - which looks better?

When I first saw the scratches, I figured they came from the wheel covers shifting/vibrating relative to the wheel, but seeing how straight are the scratches in my own photo, it seems likely they came from removal/installation.

Wheel covers vs lug covers/center caps - which looks better?

Here's a photo of one of the worst wheel spokes.

Wheel covers vs lug covers/center caps - which looks better?

This is absolutely true. I took the covers off my 20" wheels yesterday (with a total of 116 miles on the odometer) and there are already scratches on most of the spokes of all four wheels.
