    Brake screeching nonstop

There's a lot of crazy custom stuff in Lucid's cars, but the brakes are just normal brakes. Nothing special about them. Anyone who can do brakes should have no problem working on them.

Am I Going to be Serviced Under Warranty?

Ok, but your post didn't say that at all. I answered the text that was in the post. As for the newly clarified question, my expectation would be that if you notified Lucid and made the appointment for that specific problem before the warranty ended, you should be covered. But if it's a...

Samsung / Google smartwatch app for Lucid Motors' vehicles

Part of it I suspect is that the Lucid app doesn't let you actually choose or start any actions until the car wakes up and the app sees that it's awake. While testing my Garmin equivalent of this WearOS app, using the new faster polling endpoint, with the car asleep, I told my watch to unlock...

Am I Going to be Serviced Under Warranty?

No, but then neither the annual maintenance nor the CCCv2 upgrade are warranty work, so it doesn't matter, you'd be paying for that service anyway. You'll still be under warranty for any battery or motor issues until 100k miles or 8 years though.

    Lucid Air Cupholder NHTSA Complaint

Are you old enough to remember when that was the ONLY automotive cup holder solution? The good ole days weren't always that great.

An Open Letter to Lucid: 1,408 Miles In, 3.52 mi/kWh, and a New Owner's Wish List

Did you take into the account that AAOS is also running on top of a QNX RTOS (Real Time Operating System)? I believe in a VM.

An Open Letter to Lucid: 1,408 Miles In, 3.52 mi/kWh, and a New Owner's Wish List

Which never made any sense to me, you'd think a company full of hard core engineers would've wanted as much nerdy data available as possible.

An Open Letter to Lucid: 1,408 Miles In, 3.52 mi/kWh, and a New Owner's Wish List

I wish! You must do a lot of mixed city diving or have slower speed limits than where I live. I'm mostly highway driving at 70-80mph, and my lifetime efficiency on a 2025 AT with 20" wheels is currently 3.12mi/kWh, which gives me a total range of 287mi vs the 377mi EPA range.

Orbit for Lucid: a Garmin watch app for your Lucid (early alpha, DIY install)

Orbit for Lucid v0.3.0 (alpha): frunk, trunk, horn and lights from your Garmin watch Orbit is an unofficial Garmin Connect IQ app, with an Android companion, for checking and controlling a Lucid from your wrist. v0.3.0 adds more controls and a few visual changes. New Frunk and trunk. Open or...

Samsung / Google smartwatch app for Lucid Motors' vehicles

@DeaneG I'm totally stealing the color change idea for battery level! 😂 You might want to consider using "Access for Lucid" as the name, I believe (though not a lawyer) that ("for FOO") is a commonly accepted way of avoiding trademark issues.

EPA vs real world range: maybe Gravity isn't so bad after all

I haven't figured out if you're being intentionally obtuse (aka trolling), or just really don't understand what they're saying. There's nothing even remotely dishonest about what OOS/C&D are saying or doing.

Orbit for Lucid: a Garmin watch app for your Lucid (early alpha, DIY install)

Orbit for Lucid: update (v0.2.2) A quick update since the first post (v0.1.0). Orbit is still alpha and still works end to end on just one setup: a Pixel 10 Pro, a Garmin Venu 3 and one Lucid. What's new A redesigned watch screen. The main screen is a ring that fills with your charge, a big...

EPA vs real world range: maybe Gravity isn't so bad after all

Um, no they are not. Neither of them are claiming that their test is 'an EPA test'. Both of them are quite clear about it, and about what exactly they are testing, and the are doing it BECAUSE everyone knows that the EPA rated range/efficiency is useless to actual customers. The only reason...

Can I view both battery % and estimated distance at the same time?

I'm sure we would all like this feature. Honestly it seems like such a "low hanging fruit" kind of fix, that people have been asking for forever, I'm really surprised they still haven't done it.

Orbit for Lucid: a Garmin watch app for your Lucid (early alpha, DIY install)

I got tired of pulling out my phone to check the charge or unlock the car, so I've started builing a Garmin watch app for the Lucid. It's called Orbit for Lucid, it's free and open source, and I'm sharing it in case other Garmin owners want it. It's an early alpha that I've only run on my own...

Samsung / Google smartwatch app for Lucid Motors' vehicles

I've 'released' v0.2.0 of the garmin watch app. Gave the watch app some actual icons and more information. The phone app now grabs the car's status every 5 minutes and pushes the data to the watch. Though to be clear, if the car is asleep, it does NOT wake the car - and whatever information it...

Samsung / Google smartwatch app for Lucid Motors' vehicles

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time), but I don't think that's true. I mean the car will unlock when it sees the phone's Bluetooth (either passively or on a press of the door handle), but I really don't think there's any control actions communicated over Bluetooth. Either the car...

Samsung / Google smartwatch app for Lucid Motors' vehicles

I don't think there any way to force the phone initiate or control anything with the car over Bluetooth, especially when the car is asleep. The control I'm doing is just using the public (unofficial/unsupported) API then let Lucid's cloud wake up the car and send commands in the same way their...
